Beso Del Sol Resort

Stayed three nights in early January and so the weather was cooler. We were called on the day of our checkin which was nice. Very friendly and detailed our check in and what to do if we arrived late. Check in was easy. Our place was clean and what we expected. Bed was king and pretty comfy. My mistake as I thought there were only two towels for our stay but found two more in the cabinet above the toilet. But they did deliver two more when I asked about the number. Tiki bar was a like a better dive bar. View is amazing. Sunset shots are fun and all bartenders were friendly. I see that another review on the food said that everything is served in styrofoam containers and this is still true. So the response that they weren’t able to get more environmental friendly containers doesn’t ring true. The second night it was chilly in the bar and the bartender said she couldn’t turn on the heaters without management approval. So we left and went elsewhere. The third night we came back for a couple final beverages after dinner and it was close due to cold weather. So that was a disappointment. Due to weather we didn’t use the pool or any other amenities but we’re still charged for the resort fees. Didn’t seem fair. On the positive side - great sunsets. Good location. Nice people.

Property a bit 'dated' but clean and comfortable. Great sunset views from the patio dining tables as well as the Pools and Jacuzzi wonderful for relaxing right on the waterfront. Def booking another stay there next time in the area...great value!

Everything was great except we paid for a king-bed room and got a double-size bed. Seemed especially unfair since we paid in advance.

Very friendly helpful staff and clean property

Worth the few extra bucks to get balcony with sunset view. My unit was super clean and everything worked fine. Only had one negative and that is apparently (ash tray on balcony) smoking is allowed. Couple in room next to us smoked like it was their job. Couldn’t really enjoy the balcony or leave the door open. Plenty of parking. Easy to find and check in. Very short walk to Eddie’s bar and grill which was really really good. Over great place, no complaints.

Place is old with everything outdated Bathroom inadequate shower and no space for personal supplies Room was cold and bedding didn’t keep us warm

Enjoyed our week at Beso Del Sol. The sunset view, pool and hot tub, onsite bar and restaurant, room and location made for a great pre holiday getaway.

We enjoyed our stay here and would have given a good reading but the chemicals in the pool or hot tub were off upon returning home we had infections my toe nails turned green and my wife had infections in her legs from bacteria in the pool/hot tub. I called to file a complaint and they said “ I’m sorry to here that” no offer of compensation or anything. I asked for a call back from management and never received it.

Hot tub and pool were directly chemicals off caused infection hotel staff did nothing when we told them.

This was a last minute Christmas visit to Dunedin and this place was great. On the outside it looked a bit like an old school 50s style hotel but the rooms were spacious and modern with a king size bed and kitchenette and a deck. The best part was the hotel Tiki bar right on the ocean. Great place I’d definitely go again.
