"Luxury and Location"

10.0

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful B&B. Every room of the home was exquisitely enhanced with antique furniture and gorgeous decorations. The breakfast was sumptuous and prepared to order. We especially loved the convenient location; we never had to use our car for three days. Thank you to the gracious host, Bryan.

"Disappointing Experience"

2.0

I booked this inn in August 2024 for a June 2025 stay. The website looked lovely, However, I needed to cancel my reservation after the Innkeeper Frances refused to let me store my baggage before check-in time so I could explore Newport. I followd up with her on email after her initial decision and she never even took the time to respond to me. This was also during off peak times when the inn looked pretty empty the night before arrival and the day of arrival. In the hundreds of properties I've stayed in, I've never heard of a place refusing to store luggage before check-in time. Additionally, I was very put off by the tone of her email to me, which I interpreted as a place that does not have warm hospitality.

"Wonderful Stay in a Perfect Location"

10.0

This charming bed and breakfast was the perfect getaway! The location is amazing—just a short walk to the vibrant downtown area, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a generous variety of options including eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and more—something for everyone. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, ideal for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended for couples looking for a quiet retreat close to all the action!

"Excellent Stay in Newport"

10.0

What a wonderful stay we had last week in Newport. The accommodations exceeded my expectations. The house that we stayed in was well appointed, the bed and bathrooms comfortable and the breakfast a delight. The location was perfect for walking to Bowen's Wharf and strolling to and from dinner. My favorite activity was lounging on the porch, listening to the birds and talking with the locals walking their dogs. We had such a nice time.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. An 1870's house upgraded bathroom, 12-14 ft ceilings, gas fireplaces in every room, a carafe of Courvoisier for a night's recap before the gas fireplace, the 4 poster bed , antiques all over, a great history to the house ands the local area. Warm, toast and inviting in January with 24 degree weather and a facinating owner of many decades.MAgnificent breakfast, fit for a king.

"The Wonderful Sarah Kendall House"

10.0

The Sarah Kendall House was a delightful part of our short stay in Newport. The entire house is gorgeous, and our room was amazing from the size, beauty and comfort of the bedroom and bathroom to the window view of the harbor. Breakfast was a feast of delicious foods. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks to all at the Sarah Kendall House who made our one night in Newport absolutely perfect!
