We decided to evacuate the Naples, FL area ahead of Hurricane Irma. There were limited rooms available in Tallahassee area so we chose The Cottage thinking it would be nicer for the 5 nights we expected to be away--more homey We definitely made the right decision!!! Jean and Martha looked after us incredibly. Martha knew my husband was antsy before the storm so she got him to the nearest golf course which was a blessing for all. They were up at 4 am the morning after the hurricane hit making breakfast and coffee before we lost electricity a 5 am--when we and other guests arrived in the main house at 8 am expecting nothing since we knew the power was out, we found hot coffee and plenty to eat. Our bungalow was wonderful--had lots of light and we were happy as clams to be there. We do not normally do B&B's so this was a great experience for us--you'll love the charm!!!

We stayed 1 night out of our booked 3. It reeked of must. Had no shower or shower curtain. There is a deadbolt on the door that goes no where. I had to ask for a key to get into my room. Who sleeps in an unlocked room with a key outside the door? There was 1 window looking into the whole room which had no blind. We covered it with 2 towels. The bed was bowed in the middle and creaked horribly if you moved. There was nothing lavish about it at all. The private bath has no door. And although she'll say it wasn't, like I told her when I left in the morning, under the rug in front of the sink is green. Previous water damage.

A place to relax. Far away from everything.
