Pousada de Angra do Heroismo - Forte Sao Sebastiao

Beautiful location on the water. Nice grounds in a historic fort. Walkable to city attractions if you’re in good health and don’t mind hills. Onsite restaurant was good.

The fort was amazing! Staff was great. Room was clean and great views! Walking distance to town and marina. Breakfast included.

Inmitten des historischen Fort, angenehm große Zimmer, schöne Sicht vom Innenhof und der Mauer der Anlage, Pool. Kurzer Spaziergang in den Ort.

Super location close to centre, and garden and pool are lovely. Staff super nice and friendly, and good value for money. But the hotel is tired, and the restaurant/bar service is poor. Not enough staff, not properly trained. Service slow due to lack of staff/training. This could be a €300 a night hotel but it needs some upgrading and more professional staff

As always, we like to stay straight in the castle - without compromises in regards to rooms, service and so on. All for a very reasonable price, still our favorite on the island!

É a segunda vez que me hospedo neste magnífico hotel, localizado dentro do Forte de São Sebastião, imponente fortaleza do século XVI, onde funciona também o excelente restaurante Castelinho, com pratos refinados da culinária portuguesa. Gosto tanto daqui que pretendo hospedar-me novamente na Pousada.

Inside an old fort which was cool. Right on ocean so an amazing view from rooms. Staff spoke English well. Restaurant was very good.
