"Het historische gebouw is centraal gelegen."

Het ontbijt was uitstekend. De restaurant was uitstekend. Het personeel daar was zeer vriendelijk.

De ontvangst bij onze aankomst was slecht. Zeker 2 maanden vooraf boekte ik 2 'superieure tweepersoonskamers', met balkon, en zicht op zee. Dan verwacht je geen kamer op het gelijkvloers, zoals één van de twee kamers. De receptionist wou van geen aanpassing weten. Uiteindelijk was het zelfs de schuld van booking.com, die het niet correct doorgegeven hadden.

"Nicht nochmal …"

Die Lage dieses Hotels ist gut am Hafen und der Promenade - der Blick auf den Pico - wenn nicht in Wolken gehüllt - sehr schön. In den oberen Zimmern wäre es wohl noch schöner.

Dieses Hotel hat keine 4* verdient. Das Zimmer, welches wir im Erdgeschoss für 3 Nächte hatten, roch abgestanden und alt, der Boden war staubig und mit Haaren übersät beim Einzug. Der einzige Sessel im Zimmer hatte alte Flecken, der Balkon war wohl schon länger nicht gereinigt- wir wären am liebsten wieder umgedreht und gegangen. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit sich Kaffee oder Tee zuzubereiten. Das Bad ist sehr klein, warmes Wasser gab es erst nach mind. 5 min Öffnen des Wasserhahns … es gibt bessere Möglichkeiten zu übernachten in Horta.

"Beautiful historical stay with great breakfast."

Beautiful views in a historical building. The breakfast was great (specially thanks to senhor Pacheco for this).

The beds could be of a somewhat better quality and be a true double bed in stead of 2 single beds placed together. The rooms are very well kept but deserve some renovations.

"Breakfast in paradise at Pousada Forte da Horta"

Today I had breakfast at Pousada de Santa Cruz in Horta and the experience was excellent. Besides the spectacular views and the unique atmosphere inside the fort, the staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was very well prepared, with a great variety of options, excellent quality, and a strong focus on regional products, which really makes a difference. It is a very special and beautiful place with an amazing setting. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

Die Lage direkt an der Marina und an der Uferpromenade.

Zimmer klein, Hocker vor dem Schreibtisch ging kaputt und es dauerte 3 Reklamationen, um ihn zu ersetzen. Badezimmer sehr eng. Nicht jeden Tag Wasser am Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Zimmer roch muffig (altes Gebäude) und die Eingangstüre zum Zimmer klemmte. Dem Kellner im Frühstücksraum kam kein Lächeln aus.
