The Park Hotel

We stated for 2 nights (Fri & Sat) but both nights had weddings. Being on the 1st floor and the room was very ward, the wedding guests obviously congregated outside reception and (not their fault) but a lot of load voices and loud talking until 3:30 ish, meant little sleep. Shame as lovely hotel and staff. But when booking, should be told of weddings, in case u wanted to book elsewhere?

Very helpful staff but Had to have cool showers

Excellent service, ease of booking in and friendlyness of staff, breakfast great and service at breakfast couldn't have been better. A truly great stay at The Park Hotel

Lovely first impressions, very clean and well kept entrance and foyer. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Room was nice with extra bed for our stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Great staff, nothing is too much trouble and always smiling and friendly.

we were really disappointed with the hotel. The heating could not be turned down or off.we were offered another room but it would have been a down grade so we declined this.We had to have all three of the windows open.We could not sleep due to the traffic noise.The first day our room was not cleaned even though we put the service sign on the door,the sign was removed from the door handle. Every evening we had to get our cards changed to get in our room as they did not work. This caused a lot of inconvenience and we came away very tired and un satisfied.

I'd booked the executive room, which was not dissimilar to a regular hotel room. The decor, furniture etc. was outdated, to say the least. There were a few burn marks on the carpet consistent with someone's misuse of the iron, especially as one was the exact shape of the plate. My view consisted of a patch of waste ground and around half a dozen large bins. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the room was clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I had to ask for a tv remote, as the one in my room had gone missing. The only other issue was the fact that I couldn't switch the heating down. The radiator was enclosed and had a small flap for you to reach in and turn it up or down. Unfortunately, no matter which way you turned it, it still blasted heat out. I ended up sleeping on top of the covers. All in all though, not too bad for what I paid. Would probably use the hotel again, if the heating could be turned down/off.

Mutton dressed as lamb … on entry the hotel looks good… that’s where it ends, the chef shut up early so I couldn’t get anything to eat … the rooms are very ‘tired’ lights not working, no toilet paper, wall paper hanging off … the receptionist was friendly … can’t think of anything else positive to say

Hotel was well located and the staff were very helpful in giving us information on places to go things to see in the city.

Had a really good stay apart from room was far too hot, couldnt open window properly, other than that couldnt fault the hotel, staff was really nice and helpful too
