AP Victoria Sports & Beach

We were a family of 7, the hotel was amazing, the apartment was lovely. We enjoyed the entertainment with Joanna(Jo-Jo), Flora,Martha & new addition to the team Arthur. The food was salty & my TV wasn’t working properly, kept shutting down. Hotel had a race course which we use to go for walks. We all had a fab time& staff were nice.

Went for 2 weeks and had.a an amazing, fun filled days with lots to enjoy and experience. Apartment was clean and amazing big. Tha staff were friendly and helpful from reception to the dinningroom. The entertainment staff were amazing and got us involved us in all the fun and games, which we enjoyed and won a couple of bottles of wine. Thanks to Joaana (Jojo), Flora, Martha & newby Arther who came up with amazing and inspiring games to play. The food was okay, could do with some more vegetarian choices, with less salt, as there was too much salt in the food . Overall an excellent and amazing holiday. Would recommend the holiday to anyone who is looking for something for a amazing family holiday.

I thought the hotel was great and the experience was amazing. The staff are super energetic and so invested in you to the point you feel like you know them. Memorable experience, hotel, staff and the food was decent! Would definitely come back.

I came here for a 2 week holiday of relaxation and fun with 6 members of my family and that is exactly what I had. ALL the Hotel staff are very nice, especially the Entertainment Staff. A big Thank you goes to Joanna (JOJO), Martha, Flora and Arthur, who made us feel so welcome and involved in the fun and games they organised. They work very hard and we all saw that. They were excellent with my Nephew Hiten, who has special needs. The Hotel rooms were very nice and spacious. The only downside is that alot of the food we had was so salty. We loved trying the different fish dishes BUT why add so much salt? Even the potatoes/somosa and spring rolls had too much salt. Apart from that we had a lovely stay. Thank you all. 😁👏

We stayed here over the May Half term and we loved Portugal but this hotel isn't a 4 star, I would say more like a 3. It needs updating alot. The kids were really disappointed they had no kids club at all. The 3 entertainment girls did the best they could and did help break the day up. The staff in the restaurant seemed very miserable. The reception staff I found mixed, some very helpful. I would book your activities is ZooMarine online as the reception do it for you but you need cash and it's 13% commission in the cash point. That's something we regret doing. The food was nice but so repetitive and we had to eat out for a few days. I struggled to find suitable food for my 8 month old so had to rely on pouches id bought as backup. I agree with the reviews on the sun loungers, this needs to be changed as we struggled to all sit together by the pool. The bar needs expanding as can often get a bit queue. I had to chase reception to get out beds made and changed too as by night 3 I don't think anything had happened in our room. After I complained it was cleaned well. The beds were comfy and the rooms are big. The balconies are a really good size. The kids pool was good but small tiles are coming off the bottom of the pool which scared me with my toddler running around. The evening entertainment was average. I wish they did a small kids disco in the evening, my kids really missed that this year. It was a nice holiday but wouldn't return.

Sports facilities exceeded expectations. Great place for active families.

We visited the AP Victoria from the 28th May to the 7th June 2025. The staff are what makes this hotel, the entertainment ladies, Marta, Joana and Flora are absolutely amazing and my children loved them, they are absolutely worth their weight in gold. The hotel has many good points but there are a couple of niggles. GOOD * The staff are amazing, every single person was lovely. My daughter was poorly and the cleaners were so kind who came to sort our room. The rooms are great, lots of room especially If travelling with a family. The sports facilities are amazing! My sports mad son absolutely loved it and saw some Olympic medal winners training on site. Good range of drinks in the all inclusive. There are lots of activities for adults and children during the day and you can get involved as little or much as you want. Location- right by an absolutely beautiful beach which you can walk to in 10 minutes (there are lots of steps down to the beach) NOT SO GOOD *Food got very repetitive after 10 days and we ate out a few times. We always got something to eat but was bored at the end of the holiday My daughter had a sickness bug when we were there and spoke to a few others who had been poorly too. There needs to be another bar, I can imagine it being awful during high season at the peak of the summer, there's nothing also if the weather is bad other than the room near reception with the pool table. Thus room was absolutely soulless and so much more could be made of this space. The first few days we were there a kids football camp was on. During those days it was Incredibly difficult to get a sunbed and you were forced to get up at the sparrows fart just to get a bed, I don't go on holiday to get up earlier than I do for work. Many of these sunbeds had towels on ALL day but people were only coming back to use them late afternoon and there was no policing of this at all which was annoying. Some other things to note. There are some shops locally which are good and reasonably priced. Buy souvenirs here rather than vilamoura where items were 3x the price! I used the bolt app to get a taxi from the hotel to vilamoura and was easy and quick to use. I absolutely loved portugal, and the hotel was great and with a few weeks could be amazing. However the absolute debacle at Faro airport has put me off returning as it was an absolute shambles! I have honestly never seen queues like it!

Just coming to the end of a 10 night stay at AP Victoria and it's been a very enjoyable stay. The sports facilities are amazing and my 9 year old football mad son has loved it. My 7 year old daughter too has had an amazing time and especially loved the dancing shows at night. The staff from the reception to the restaurant and bar to the maintenance and especially the 3 entertainment ladies are all what makes this hotel. They are all so nice and friendly. The food is good but after 10 days we are slowly getting a little bit stir crazy of similar things on offer each day but don't get me wrong it has been overall very good. We have mixed it up a bit by eating out at the local restaurant outside the hotel a couple of times and in villamoura too. I think next week the grill restaurant opens for the season so that will give more choice. The first week we were here there was a football event on so was extremely busy and difficult to get sunbeds daily but this week has been relatively quiet and had no problems whatsoever in getting one . Night time entertainment has been generally good and we've enjoyed it overall. The live music is good and the music quiz was good fun. The rooms are very good and spacious and any minor problems we have encountered have been dealt with swiftly. The best bit for myself and son especially has been the sports facilities. I've used the gym a lot and we've both played football numerous times daily. The paddle tennis too is excellent. One highlight was watching the current decathlon Olympic gold medalist Marcus Rooth training here for a couple of days. Excellent to watch his routines and very approachable after for photos etc. WiFi was very good. So really a very good stay and would definitely come back. One little tweak I would do is to do the inside meeting room up with a bar and better lighting etc as some night time entertainment has to be moved inside due to chilly weather and the room as it stands is a bit soulless and not set out very well. But overall as I say we as a family of 4 loved it

When we booked this it was 4.5 on trip advisor and I can see this has been dropping over the months. It’s a shame as it’s a nice hotel with potential but lots of tweaking required (which doesn’t cost much) and I would have left a 5 review. I summarised the bad then the good below. Bad: Not being allowed to eat straight away on check in. Luckily our last day was a morning flight so they “allowed” us to use our last day so we could eat when we arrived! Children not being allowed in jacuzzi when main pool not heated so it’s cold 🥶 Only one coffee machine per apartments and it was in use Kids evening entertainment starts at 9pm! When our 7 year old is asleep 😴. So we didn’t get to enjoy any evening entertainment. No kids club until mid June 😞 Little flies everywhere! All the tables wobble sending drinks flying! Ppl reserving beds, it’s annoying and shouldn’t be allowed Bad hayfever in May No wifi in gym so make sure you download any workouts before you leave home Good: Friendly welcome by entertainment staff Healthy options at every meal, including vegetables Lots of meat and fish Free running track open all day Free gym but need to book as only 15 people can use at a time, not sure why there is plenty of space, equipment and room Very sports focused hotel Sparkling wine Cocktails, just check which are included and which aren’t- details on hotel website or ask reception for a copy of what’s in the all inclusive Cleaning every day with fresh linen and towels if required Lots of poolside and near activities Sound proofing is amazing in each apartment Comfy beds, really slept well Great massages (payable on request). No relaxing music required you can hear the water from the splash pool and literal birds, tho the bee that wouldn’t go away was a little distracting. I would recommend this hotel!

The most amazing holiday! Welcomed by the loveliest receptionist as they all were on all their different shifts! The room was beautiful massive balcony and very clean. Travel cot for baby fold out bed and double bed. The food incredible selection I am vegetarian and it was amazing salad, eggs, fresh fruit amazing soups and vegetables pasta, pizza all healthy and balanced but had everything you needed and wanted! Husband meat eater loved all the fresh fish and meat cooked daily! Children pasta sauce, a kids section ( chips etc) salad sweetcorn tomatoes cucumber! The drinks amazing I am pregnant lots of non alcoholic loved the beer I got super bock 0% and yummy mocktails. Beer wine sangria on tap. And for children milk mocktails, slushies! All soft drinks. The snack bar amazing ice creams, crisps fruit yoghurt and great cake daily. We loved the entertainment the staff were incredible Marta, flora and Joanna were so good with my little ones and we did the family yoga in the morning and aqua aerobics. Great fun games to play at the pool daily children and adults optional. They did amazing shows fire dancers, music and bingo! I did the hike with Marta which was amazing and my dauger walked 3.5 km ! As lots to see. They adapted classes for me pregnancy and took time to show me what to do. Just wonderful women with amazing energy. I loved it. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and effort with us. My daughter is missing you ! (Willow and ofcourse Rory :)) also had a massage they were wonderful you WhatsApp and they come to the hotel. Therapist liliana wonderful for pregnancy too and great touch for general relaxation! Highly recommend lovely staff amazing place the pools and jacuzzi pool too athletics track good to push pram for little ones naps too! Thank you again for an amazing trip.
