"Paraidse-Can't Wait to Return"

10.0

Aloha-Stayed 6 nights (lost 1 night due to winter storm travel delays/cancellations) but thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Staff is always friendly & excellent to assist in any way needed. Upon our arrival, our room was ready since we missed the first day, & after booking a whale excursion (thanks to the sweet concierge agent who stayed over to help us), we entered our 2nd floor suite. Was directly on Lewers St, which we enjoyed greatly being able to watch all the activities from our balcony, which was great, not loud or intrusive in any way. We hit one of our favorite restaurants downstairs, Giovanni Pastrami, made our 1st of many trips to the ABC store located within steps to stock up on items-this particular store next to the Imperial, has a full service deli with meal options galore, pricing is not bad either. The location is unbelievable with quick walking access to anything & anywhere you want to shop/dine/sightsee ( Duke's, International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Center, Outrigger Reef, & Sheraton Center), not to mention Kalakaua Ave, the main street of Waikki Beach with high end designer stores (we didn't shop there, but it's close if you desire). The world famous Waikki Beach is a short walk away and we enjoyed 3 full days on the beach during our stay. The concierge also booked us for the Polynesian Cultural Center, resulting with some savings there & also for our whale watching trip (saw some whales, thanks Oukilani). The staff was again so helpful and advised us since we had a very late (11 p.m.) flight departure of the hospitality/day room which we utilized after a day of sightseeing to shower and freshen up, so greatly appreciated! We love this location and are already making plans to return again early next year. TIP-I've noticed some complaining about the parking fees. When we stay in Waikki, we never rent a vehicle for the entire stay, we just rent a vehicle for the day or days we plan on exploring the North Shore or other parts of the island. As mentioned, it's a very short walk to all the shopping & restaurants, and if we want to explore a little further out, we use Uber & ride the sightseeing buses. We love these options as the drivers provide great info that otherwise we wouldn't be privy to if we drove ourselves. Our total costs using these options was significantly lower than rentals, parking & gas would be. Mahalo

"Wonderful location, great unit"

10.0

We had a 2 bedroom which was spacious. I have stayed in the one bedrooms before and they are really tight if you have 3 people. But the 2 bedroom was very spacious even though we were 5 people and had to use the sleeper sofa. The location is the best if you want to go shopping, out to eat or walk on the beach. The staff were wonderful from the front desk Evelyn to the fellows that moved our bags. We will stay her again for sure. Aloha.

"Waikiki trip"

10.0

One bedroom was rather small for the 3 of us but we made it work. The resort location was excellent. And it was very clean. We took advantage of a lei making class and an ukelele lesson, both offered by the resort. I would stay there again. The employees were also excellent. It all made for a very good vacation.

"Excellent location, no view"

8.0

Excellent location, but unfortunately no view for us as resort guests. We looked into a high rise carpark next door which was a wind tunnel creating siren type noises keeping you awake throughout the night. Took me many nights to work out what the siren sound was.

"Great Location, Nice Views, but Some Ongoing Drawbacks"

6.0

We just stayed at the Wyndham Waikiki Beachwalk and had a mix of positives and frustrations. Pros: •Fantastic location: easy walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and all the Waikīkī amenities. We love grabbing pizza to-go from downstairs. •Comfortable beds: we all slept well. •Spacious bathrooms: great for families getting ready. Also amazing in comparison to surrounding hotels with tiny bathrooms and low ceilings. •Surprisingly quiet rooms, even with the lively nightlife below, we didn’t have issues sleeping. •Nice views: we've lucked out with a partial ocean view last few stays and a fun overlook of the area. Cons: •Parking is $62 per night, which feels extremely steep. •Pool has been under construction for over two years and still isn’t open: a big drawback for a resort property. We're neighboring island visitors so pool is a huge plus for us. •Hot tub is very small for a hotel this size and gets crowded quickly. •Lobby air freshener is overwhelmingly strong. After just an hour in the game room, my kids’ clothes smelled like it. It’s a lot, especially for anyone sensitive to scents. Overall: We enjoyed the location, quiet rooms, and views, but the ongoing pool closure and high parking cost are worth noting. One thing to keep in mind: this is Waikīkī. If someone wants total peace and quiet, this probably isn’t the place for them, and that’s not the hotel’s fault. With a few improvements, this could easily be an excellent stay.

"Family vacation"

10.0

Our family vacation was amazing. We were on the 10th floor, great view of the shops across the street. Staff was great upon arrival, they were accommodating when we needed a cooler and ice to take to beach. I would love to stay there again.

"Terrible salesman"

2.0

The hotel was fine but the pool was under renovation. The room was updated. What was bothersome is Holly at the welcome desk said the update 45 meeting was mandatory and I specifically said I don’t like going to them because it’s a sales pitch. She said it’s not and it’s strictly to update the customers on what is new. I went to the meeting room and was basically interrogated by Austin and there was no updating of anything. Basically I was told I have to pay a bigger loan to save money in the future. Why would I paid $200 more a month to “save”? I keep saying no no no but he doesn’t understand what no means. It was a very sleezy and basically ruined the beginning of my vacation trip. I will never recommend this company and their sales tactics.

"I would not stay here again."

4.0

While check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM, my room was not ready until approximately 4:20 PM. While a minor delay, I understand this can happen—especially in today’s labor market where staffing shortages remain a challenge for many hospitality providers. However, once I checked in, I encountered a number of issues that significantly impacted the quality of my stay. Upon entering my room, I discovered that both the living room television and internet were not functioning. When I contacted the front desk, I was told that a third-party provider manages these services and that they had been experiencing ongoing issues. I requested that someone be sent to address the matter, as having reliable internet and television was important and needed for my stay. A maintenance technician arrived promptly and was helpful in offering a temporary solution—a Verizon hotspot—due to known internet coverage issues in the room. He also showed me how to manually reset the television when the cable signal dropped, which, unfortunately, I had to do repeatedly—at least a dozen times during my stay. After four days, the hotspot also stopped working. Additionally, on the fourth day of my stay, I woke up to find the laminate and carpeted areas of the living room floor soaked. I was later informed that the air conditioning unit had backed up and, rather than draining properly, had begun leaking into the room. While I understand that mechanical failures can occur, this, combined with the known cable and internet issues, gave the impression that these problems are long-standing and not being adequately addressed. Providing guests with a workaround, like a hotspot or manual reset instructions, is not a substitute for a functioning, well-maintained infrastructure. Guests should reasonably expect a timely check-in, a working television and internet, and a dry, comfortable room—basic elements that were unfortunately lacking during my stay. One final point of concern: despite the above issues, I was repeatedly approached about attending a sales presentation for the Wyndham brand. I must ask—would you be inclined to attend such a presentation, let alone consider buying into a brand, after experiencing these kinds of issues?

"Nice room, great staff, clean resort, but:"

6.0

Put in room in main floor that surrounds the elevator so very loud, but in the resorts defense we didn’t request a room change. Very loud jack hammer sounding noise randomly throughout day and night, not pool repair. Loud enough to wake you from a deep sleep! Uber drop off and pick up not very safe, right on Lewers street, a very busy, narrow street. Pick up for tours booked through the resort was several blocks away at Army Museum.
