The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very nice and quiet but is close to all the sites.

Absolutely an amazing place between the delicious and elaborate breakfast, the elegant rooms, the relaxing pool or the excellent service. This historic hotel is a royal stay that you will remember for a very long time!

beautiful building in a delightful area of tavira. room was a nice size and well appointed. the inner courtyard was fabulous. great staff also. would stay again. just one point - this is listed as a pet friendly hotel. we were informed at check in that we were only allowed one dog per room ( we had 2) and the dog couldn't be any bigger than 15 Kilos. none of this info had been posted on the hotels.com listing. we worked it out and they let us stay in the end after we smiled sweetly

Charming old building, but it needs sprucing up & money spent on refurbishment snd interior design. Daniela and a guy at reception were fantastic and worked long shifts, but at other times the reception was either unstaffed or temporarily occupied by one of the waiters from the restaurant. The rooms and facilities need some work & there’s poor insulation between rooms. It’s really a 3 stars hotel in its current state: we found damp stains on the bathroom ceiling, old cobwebs on the balcony, no tea or coffee or kettle in the bedroom, no conditioner. The breakfast is just ok. However the building (an old convent) and the location are great.
