"Not again but lovely staff"

The only good thing about this hotel is the staff . Definitely needs updating from the 1970’s bedroom furniture along with the grey carpet and brown and red curtains . So tired looking . Wallpaper coming off the walls . Some lights switches don’t work . The bar area - such an uncomfortable sofa that dips and it is stained . Got to be years old . The gym - rusty equipment, dirty floors totally needs an upgrade , paint peeling off ceiling . Breakfast room like stepping back into the 1970’s with the net curtain coming away from the track Such a drab hotel . Lovely building pity the owners haven’t thought to update it . On a positive note the food at Steve’s brassiere was very good and good selection of breakfast menu . Car parking - I had to pay £49 to stay the week but my friend who came didn’t have to pay as the receptionist said it’s ok for the day . I know it’s council but surely if I’m paying over £1400 I should get it free . We feel as if we wasted over £1400 staying here . Definitely won’t stay again

Was put in a family room which was lovely and spacious. Steves brasserie - good was delicious.

If there was one thing it would be not being able to leave the windows open due the noise from the road.
