Close to ocean

Too old. No room service. No notice of power outage. Although It's fantastic to be ocean view, the noise screen of the window can be better. Otherwise It's too noisy for people to be in good sleep

Clean rooms and incredible views

What faults this place has (small bathrooms being one of them) is made up by its location on a great beach. Right on the beach!! And actually the rooms were good, the kitchenette was convenient 100% would stay here again.

The perfect place for several days of rest and relaxation - the beautiful view from the balcony, including whale sightings, the rhythmic sound of the surf and of children playing on the beach, sunsets over the other islands - all just what we wanted. Not far from shops and grocery stores, but having a rental car is a big advantage. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we made breakfasts and dinners every day to save money. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. The shower was excellent! There was always a parking space available.

It was an okay hotel by the waterfront and some shops weren't too far away by car. It was nice that they offered free lei making at the hotel next to them, to all guests.

The main negative was that we got locked out of our room one morning during the stay because the key card reader ran out of battery. We then had to wait over 45 minutes for someone to come and fix it which meant that we were late for a pre-booked activity we'd paid for and they left without us. We then had to rebook this for the next day and had to fork out another $500 to do so and lost a morning for other activities. We reached out to the hotel to speak to them about our concerns but heard nothing back despite emailing and calling. Furthermore, the images in the booking make it look like the room faces the water directly, but we were placed on the side of the building and had to poke our head around the balcony to be able to see the sea. After looking at the photos again, it looks like they've photoshopped them to make the view look nicer. We spoke to reception about this and they said it wasn't false advertising because you can still partly see the sea from the balcony. But the main reason we chose this hotel over another was for the view they advertised. We also tried to communicate with the hotel before we arrived to see if we could get an early check-in and/or late checkout, but they never replied to us. Ultimately, we regretted choosing this hotel over another one because of the inconveniences, poor communication, and false advertising.
