Sun Star Inn Los Banos

Just looking for a cheap place to stay after getting to airport late night and then driving halfway to destination. Very basic place with no breakfast but cheap and clean. Not very attractive rooms

Rooms Are Fairly Clean. We arrived at midnight and were promply helped. Basic amenities for one night stay. near main road.

the hotel is very old and very dirty.the service sucked. We had accidentally booked the rooms for the wrong date.they charged us a fee eventhought many empty rooms. Owner said it's because we didn't book through them directly but we used hotel.com. everything in the room was very old and dirty. The towels were so nasty we use toilet paper instead to wipe our hands and face. the bed is so hard like it's just a wooden frame with no mattress.

Clean place for being low priced. Updated room was nicer then more expensive hotels I have stayed in. Like a previous post the towels were old and looked like someone used them to wash a car.

Dated facilities without a hint of renovation. The room was noisy (near the office) traffic could be heard very clearly, shower door was was nearly falling off, the matress was decent but this was expected of an economy hotel, at least there were no bed bugs.

Very comfortable r table room just a little g e taway

I chose this place because of all the great TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed. It was like coming home to family. I called ahead because i would arrive late, and she gave some route suggestions and encouragement. He was up to greet me at midnight with a smile and a hearty, "You made it!" It's a no-frills room, but the owners put their heart into providing a clean place and a welcoming experience at an affordable price. I believe in supporting people who care about the work they do. Great waffles next door as well, and Los Banos has cheaper gas than you get along I-5. Hot water, dark curtains, off-street parking.

You can stay for much less and still have the comfort of the bigger chains. As a traveler, I have stayed in the cheapest to the most costly hotel rooms. After a few free breakfasts in a chain hotel, you realize eating at Denny's might be better. There is a great breakfast at Country Waffles next door. This inn was one of my favorite hotel stays from the last 12 years and we stayed an extra day. The managers are very diligent in ensuring your room is clean and comfortable. There is an extra pillow and blanket in the dresser. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in your large spacious room along with two lounge chairs. HBO with multiple channels.

Great place to stay and sleep on the way from L.A. to S.F., affordable and clean.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, clean modern with mini fridge and Micro. Flat screen TV, very comfortable. Best place in Los Banos to stay.
