The view from my room of the harbour. An odd ambience of a partially restored art deco hotel, yet lacking the skill and money to do the job properly.

I'm 82 and arthritic. The lift wasn't working. My room was on the 4th floor. Staff offered to take my case but that was of little use.

"Comfortable hotel in a great location but spoilt a bit by inoperable lift"

Loved the view from the room across the bay. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. Bed was good. Extra duvet provided on request. Quiet. Toiletries provided. Complimentary tea provided on final day. Suitcase stored. Extra hour provided free on final day.

Lift broken and not operational after initial check in use.

Staff were excellent, helpful, informative and friendly. Special mention to Precious in the rstaurant who really loked after us well and was always there with a smile. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious and well stocked with tea/coffee etc. Large TV although reception was not great. Shower had good pressure and plenty of shampoo etc. provided.

Lift was out of action for our last day (we were on third floor) and there was very limited parking. We had to use a public car park across the road (which was free betwen 6pm and 9am).
