"Rude and unfriendly staff"

I love Embassy Suites. I always look for Embassy Suites when I’m booking my stays. And I stay quite often. I book with Embassy almost every weekend. I had several recommendations to stay at this location in Concord. However, I had a not so great experience at this location regarding a safety issue. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and courteous and acted promptly to get maintenance to my room. However, the maintenance guy was very rude and intimidating when I tried to explain my issue with the dead bolt on my room door. I could hear him complaining outside my door before he even came to the door. I could tell he was irritated. And he knocked. Let’s just say banging on my door as if he was the Feds. Did not feel safe. Then I had issues with the bathroom not being clean. I would have overlooked and just requested them to come and re-clean. But I was afraid the same maintenance person would return so I cleaned it myself. Never had any issues prior to this with any Embassy Suites location prior to this. It was the person, not the Embassy Suites brand. However, that person is a reflection of the brand. From a disappointed Hilton Honors Diamond Member.

We didn’t even check in. The staff was rude. Hotel was being renovated. No water from 10 pm to midnight or later. I prepaid for two rooms and showed them my receipt and they said I only paid for one room. Still trying to get a refund from booking. Had to find another hotel for two rooms at last minute which costs me even more money.

"GREAT stay in Concord"

Great experience at the hotel. All employees were very positive and went out of their way to assist whenever needed. I asked a front desk team member, Wendy Husser, to assist me with an administrative task and she was VERY helpful. By the time I returned getting something from my car Ms. Husser had completed my request. The breakfast buffet was great, especially the made to order eggs. There was construction going on during our visit but the construction team and managers ensured that there were minimal impact on guests. The refurbished rooms were great. I only wish that we had more time in Concord to enjoy all the hotel amenities.

"Not the same"

First off we used to love this property and have stayed here many times in the past as we go to the races at the nearby drag strip but it’s not the same-staff could use some training on being nicer- same thing happened last year- staff less than friendly but we thought we’d try again-still waiting… our room door wouldn’t close and we literally had to throw our weight against it to secure it- our air conditioner was not working and our room was stifling! Reported the issue to the front desk and they sent a maintenance man to fix it immediately and he pretty much told us we set it incorrectly that there was no problem! Heat never went below 72 and it was awful to sleep in! At check out I stood patiently waiting as the lady at check out was talking to another employee about an issue with a person who was staying-I waited and waited ( the other guy at the counter never even looked up at me ) and she finally said “oh? Are you checking out?” Seriously? Why would I be standing there with room keys in my hand? The hotel was obviously booked and they had only one person cooking breakfast- after my husband and I waited for 20 minutes we ended up settling for the tepid generic scrambled eggs instead- we will be staying in another near by Hilton next spring- this place is no longer a favorite
