Jasper Boutique Hotel

Firstly, I want to make it clear the hotel (value and cleanliness) is Good. I often stay here when I’m traveling to Melbourne for work trips. Unfortunately, last night, while I was in my room, I received a call from the receptionist asking if I was smoking. I politely informed the receptionist that I’m a non-smoker (I’ve never smoked in my life). He then proceeded to accuse me of smoking, saying, “Well, there’s smoke coming from your room, sir.” I insisted that I’m a non-smoker and that it must be someone else. He continued to insist that it was coming from my room, despite the fact that I was alone in the room. As a non-smoker, I firmly denied any involvement. I even invited the receptionist to come to my room and check for himself if anyone had been smoking. However, he never arrived. I went to the reception office and asked the receptionist why he had called my room without any evidence or come to check. He apologized and admitted that he might have been mistaken. At this point, I felt that the damage had already been done. You don’t call and accuse your guests of something without any evidence or even checking to see if it’s true. I asked to speak with the duty manager and he advised there was none. There was no offer for anyone to contact me back to discuss.

Always a delight to stay at the Jasper. Great area, very lively and vibey. Right next to Victoria Markets, a great variety of eateries from the recently hatted Patsy’s to Asian cheap and cheerful.And only a couple of stops away from heart of the city on the free tram service.

We've stayed at the Jasper before and enjoyed it as much as we did this time, thats why we'll be back again. Staff so accomodating and friendly. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Only thing I would bring up would be the mould in the shower, I understand that with a busy hotel it's inevitable, however maintenance would be good being a wet area. Otherwise we love love love!!!

Spacious room with nice outside courtyard outside our bedroom. Room was kitted out with everything that we needed Location was great for all that Melbourne at to offer especially the AO tennis Great variety for breakfast options & tasty

Good location, two minutes walk to city trams, Queen Victoria Market is behind the hotel, McDonald's is next door, Aldi's grocery store is four minute walk. Melbourne Central Station is 10 minute walk. My room had mini fridge and hot water kettle, AC worked good. Coffee, creamer, sugar was restocked daily, along with towels.

Easy check in and parking info in website was accurate. Staff helped me to print some documents. Good coffee down stairs. Easy to walk or catch public transport.

It was a convenient location for our stay.
