Great staff, great eating area and plenty of choice

Breakfast was mainly good, but their regular coffee (instant) was poor. On day 2 the scrambled eggs had gone solid.

Location, grounds, facilities, ambience, architecture.

When it comes to rooms, for ‘Cosy’ read ‘Tiny’. Value for money ratio.

The staff in both the hotel and the spa, the surroundings, the scenery 👌 all absolutely beautiful. I had no idea they were so well equipped for children, I am 100% returning with my 2 boys.

Would book a room with a larger bed next time. Ours was a small double.

The location and views are superb. The room was great and overall the hotel is very comfortable. The spa whilst lacking a bit of style is good and easy to access. As an electric car driver the charge points were good and had no difficulty accessing, although a bit tight in terms of space.

The food and service around it was for the most part very poor standard. The staff seemed to constantly disappear and hardly anyone was around when you wanted something. "I've been stranded" was a comment from one staff member, "I dont know where my colleagues are" was another. Orders for drinks were either forgotten or took an age. The breakfast options were very limited - whilst we get the hotel focuses on families with children this shouldn't be at the expense of a decent range of breakfast for adults. The quality of dinner and cooked breakfast was not even close to being a luxury hotel standard. Overall there was a sense most of the staff were temporary and not well trained. There was no sign of any management during our three days at the hotel.

Beautiful location affording fantastic views of the estuary. The main building was charming and the modern rooms adjacent were equipped to the highest standard.

The fact that the building was a steep walk to the town proved difficult for a companion whose mobility was challenged.

Lovely hotel, beautiful location

The breakfast service was very slow. It took ages for them to top up what had run out and took a while for someone just to take a drink order. The staff were lovely but I just think they were maybe a bit understaffed.

I ❤️ this place such a beautiful hotel one of the best we have stayed in.. I just had one problem the out door pool I wish would have been open..
