King's Inn

I stay here periodically and its my only consideration. The staff is the best. I enjoy seeing them and saying hello. I'm 61, money matters and this place is a value to me.

Trains going buy alot.

I don’t care if a hotel is old and humble. But it should be clean. I am hoping that the sheets were clean. The bathroom was horrible. The shower/tub has not been cleaned in a long time. Soapscum dirt mold and mildew. So we did not use it. I cleaned the toilet and sink myself so they were usable. I did not want to content with other peoples tootpaste hair and other nasties. The breakfast would have been alright if there had been individual butter and jam and a clean coffeepot. Again little and humble is ok. The bathroom of the lobby was horrible which i told the gal upfront. All she said was ok. And the overwhelming air freshener didnt make it smell good but gave us a broad hint that smells were covered up. Also they were so over powering that my husband sat up a few times at night in order to catch his breath. I have no idea what happened to this hotel. I know you get what you paid for but this was dirty over the top. If there had been roommates available somewhere else we would have moved.

There was a swishing noise in the AC unit that sounded like somebody messing with my car outside but after looking out a couple of times I figured it was Ok...

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The motel has need of significant upkeep, repair, and maintenance. The toilet tank in room 123 is not secure--it tips and leaks. The staff has been working for 3 weeks to get the electronic door locks working, but there are still issues to be solved. The key tokens for room 139 also open room 260. Room 139 opens without any tokens. Making the King's Inn serviceable again will take significant investment.

TV didnt work. Shower was mostly cold. Door didnt lock. Unfavorable guests

The hotel did not have bed bugs at all. was clean, but the hot water was super hot and had a hard time adjusting it.

The Good: Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious. The Bad: The sign at the street said Travelodge so we passed it at first, turned around and saw the smaller sign that said King's Inn. No phone or coffee maker in room. The TV didn't work properly, we were given a new remote but still didn't work right. We couldn't change the volume or turn the TV off so we had to unplug it. After the person upstairs took a shower, our tub made a loud noise and about 2 cups of water came gurgling up. A couple minutes later it made another loud noise and the water went back down. Only one light bulb worked above the sink, so it was hard to see well. If we used hot water before using cold water, there was no cold water. The coffee tasted like colored hot water. When we took our dogs out before going to bed there were 4 cop cars outside with one guy in cuffs. It's no wonder there were only 2 or 3 other people staying there. Next time we'll spend more money for a better and safer place.
