Beach Shack

I paid 2650$ pre paid in February for my wife’s birthday in August.After paying I called hotel and asked if I needed to do anything to assure a room with view. The agent chuckled and said don’t worry this far out I’m sure we can take care of that. When we checked in we got room 208, and what a view, a concrete wall with the ice machine that was loudand next to the staff laundry room. I went to the desk and told agent about room she said “oh yeah you booked on booking.com, not much I can do” Later I texted about stay here was the reply I'm sorry the location of the room is less than ideal. There isn't anything we can do to move you at the moment but I can offer $200 in food credit for your stay. You can use it at the Rusty Nail, pool bar or the beach by charging your food or drinks to the room. If anything changes during your stay so we can change your room, we'll let you know.. Big deal they. moved money from one pocket to the other, either rest in the restaurant or get nothing. We were never offered another room. Saturday evening I asked the desk agent since you have availability on Sunday and it’s been a less than expected stay could we get a late check out. He said ok 1 hour. Needless to say we checked out early. The staff otherwise, pool, restaurant were great room clean. But extremely disappointed with the lack of guest recovery. If you want no view and an ice machine that is outside your room and busy alll day then Beach Shack room 208 is for you

The property was perfect! A great family vacation

Bright. Clean. Mostly quiet. Friendly staff.

Parking is a big issue. One pass per six people. Even with a pass, may not find a spot in the lot. Or double spaces block People in and valet is not 24 hours. Surrounding parking in the community is nearly impossible. Especially overnight.

Pool nice.

Lock and key did not work well. Had to hold knob in certain position to get door to lock. Took numnerous attempts every time using lock to get it to unlock or lock

Very updated property, had a really positive vibe as well as very professional staff. The little first pit, music stage area was very relaxing.

Very clean and newly renovated

The parking was a little hard!

This is a great beachfront family hotel! Its location makes it a quick 5-7 minute walk to town too! Highly recommend for families with kids.
