Further to my initial review, I have spoken with the General Manager, who emailed and requested I remove my review. Your offer of a 1 night stay for our family is insulting. You ruined our family Christmas by making two family members ill, one of whom was 7 months pregnant. You admit your fault of serving food to two Coeliac’s, one of whom was 7 months pregnant. Erinvale you ruined our family Christmas and you did not have the decency to offer us a like for like replacement break. We refuse your offer of 1 night Bed & Breakfast, I accepted your apology on the phone as I thought you were offering a like for like break and thought you seemed sincere in your apology and that you understood just how ill you had made us and how upset we were at christmas being spoilt, especially for my 2 year old granddaughter. I gave you every opportunity to do the right thing and you failed to do so. You did not offer to pay for medication or even reimburse the cost of the meal that poisoned us. You first insult us by offering us 1 room for 1 night ( for 5 guests) then you insult us again by offering 2 rooms for 1 night. Words fail me. If you are Coeliac it is just not worth the risk of staying here. Please note 99% of my reviews are 4 - 5 star reviews.

Beautiful and well maintained property and grounds. The gardens are beautifully planted and a pleasure to walk around. The spa and swimming pool facilities are well appointed; and outdoor lounging and dining areas are great for enjoying the surrounding mountains and fine weather. Stefan’s fine dining restaurant tasting menu was interesting and well executed and staff all knowledgable and friendly. Hope to return! Great spot.

Fantastic staff that went far above expectations and a family friendly hotel. Hotel is newly refurbished and is at a very high standard. Facilities are well kept, spa beautiful and restaurants great. Can highly recommend the hotel for both a shorter and longer stay.

The grounds, pools and trees are stunning. The interiors are modern and beautiful. Staff are very friendly and professional.

Had to wait until half way through the afternoon for a bedroom which was up a flight of concrete stairs under a tree overlooking the main road which was noisy and dark . Tried to upgrade but no help with that Wouldn’t stay again. Nice room but position unacceptable

Thought that a suite should have some form of outside space. Otherwise a great place and food was good but rich. Staff excellent.
