Heritance Kandalama

I loved the design of the hotel. Comparing to a corporate hotel I stayed in before this was thoughtful, beautiful, sustainable, just excellent.

Nothing I didn’t like

We stayed at Heritance Kandalama 2 nights and were really impressed by the architecture of this property. On day one we participated in the tour with Nayana, which was amazing. We also loved the beautiful swimming pools. The food was great.

We booked the Panoramic King room with lake view. When we arrived we were told that we would be upgraded, but in the end we were offered a room on the ground floor, without any view. When we asked for the room that we booked the staff member was not helpful and throughout our stay we felt that staff were not always up to par.

A bit more Vegetarian dishes would be nice to choose from.

The nature and the piece of course

Geoffrey Bawa 設計の自然を生かしたホテル。 カンダラマ湖の対岸の先にシーギリヤロックやピデュランガラロックが見えるロケーション。 ホテルの施設や庭もしっかり管理されている。

新人と思われるチェックイン担当者の手際の悪さからか、ホテル到着後1時間待たされ、こちらから問い合わせてやっと部屋に案内された。

The location is perfect!! Serene , quiet, and perfect for nature getaway.

Being such an expensive and high end hotel, apparently the staff was only allowed to give two water bottles per day to room and not more than that which is weird.

Great location, clean bathrooms, beautiful views. Breakfast buffet was good.

Beds not so comfy, ala cart menu was not good and very expensive.

Super relaxing, amazing location for those looking to disconnect — the spa is a must, the 4-course meal in Khaludeya was also phenomenal

Might seem far for those looking to have active vacations, also a little quiet
