The Cove Lakeside Resort

The resort itself was very nice, amenities were good

Check in time is 5pm later than anywhere else and check out time is 10 am earlier than anywhere else. It’s ridiculous for the cost of the stay. Paid over 400 for 1 night to have staff wake us up at 7:45 with loud banging and crashing noise tearing down massive wedding venue tents. They should have waited until check out time it was insane. Totally ruined the trip when your whole family has to get up way earlier than expected and then have to listen to that for an hour straight.

Hotel was fantastic. We had a lovely two bed suite on the ground floor with direct access to the pool area which made it so easy when wanting to go down with the kids (and all the stuff!). Rooms were large and spacious and two full size bathrooms was great. Laundry facilities in the room were also useful (along with products to get you started).

Could have been tidier (we found some cigarettes outside on the balcony and some plastic on the floor inside. Also, there are no curtains, only blinds so lots of light comes in which can mean its tricky to put down toddlers earlier in the evening. Pool was a touch cold but nothing major.

We had a water view the previous visit, and mountain view this time. While the mountain view is nice, the water view is prettier.

We both wished there was a full length mirror. And, in this particular suite, the vanities in both bathrooms were exceptionally tall - actually taller than normal at 39". We are not tall people and found the two vanities uncomfortably tall.
