Hyatt Place Milford/New Haven

The room has a bad smell, and the toilet was always auto-flushing itself probably due to a leak, making a very loud noise of which we couldn’t sleep well. We went downstairs to seek help from front desk, but the attitude of the front desk was so rude, he first argued that the room was occupied for over an hour, he shouldn’t help us change a room, and we are responsible for checking the room the moment we arrive. Then we insisted that we couldn’t sleep well in the room, and he yelled to us saying that “then what room would you like? Say a number!” We’re both shocked by what he said, it’s definitely not what I expected at a Hyatt hotel, we’re so afraid and disappointed that we may not stay at any Hyatt place again. By the way, the hotel lobby also has a weed smell, that most likely came from the front desk, as when we seek help at night, he wasn’t at the front desk but laying on the balcony smoking something.

It was delicious and lots of variety for the money.

Nice hotel with good breakfast and close to everything. Room was ok with big tv. Dining was good. Location was great. Recommend it highly.

The Hyatt is a decent place with good potential. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the breakfast is enjoyable. Its convenient location provides easy access to nearby malls and restaurants. However, the staff could be more attentive and welcoming, as the service felt somewhat lacking in warmth. Housekeeping mostly covers dustbin emptying, towel changes, and bed-making, with floors and tabletops not being cleaned daily. The hotel also features a gym with basic equipment. Overall, with improvements in staff service and cleanliness, this hotel could become a truly pleasant place to stay.

Bed squeaked terrible like it was on its way out.. I didn’t like the fact that I had prepaid and they were telling me I didn’t pay, but they fixed it

I didn’t like that house keeping knocked on my door at 10:20am , when I just checked in at 1am . I didn’t like that I had to shower with cold water and I lies from the staff
