American Guest House, a Washington DC Bed and Breakfast

Lage ruhig und gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus erreichbar, aber leider eine laute Lüftungsanlage. Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet ist aber nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Viele Restaurants und Cafés in der Nähe.

Für den selbst zuzubereitenden Kaffee im Zimmer soll man doch glatt 5$ zahlen. Da geh ich doch lieber 200 m zu Tatty und krieg nen richtigen Kaffee zum selben Preis serviert.

the beds were comfortable, the location was OK, the staff was mostly friendly

The reviews raved about the breakfast, it was just passable. I would have preferred to have breakfast as an option. The sound proofing in the rooms was terrible someone upstairs from us paced for hours in the middle of the night on creaky floors. The furniture and bathrooms were very work and patched. It could pass muster as a budget accommodation but we paid an amount comparable to much nicer hotels were we have stayed in the past.

Very charming and welcoming bed & breakfast. Staff was very helpful and incredibly friendly. Communication was top-notch. Bedroom was very quiet, and the bed was very, very comfortable (mattress and pillow appeared new). Location was perfect for visiting embassy row. Exceptional value.

For a bed & breakfast, there was nothing I didn't like.

Common rooms had a rustic charm. Breakfast was fine, and included some chit-chat with other guests. The room was comfortable in a spartan way.

Getting in and out of the building was trickier than it should be.

the mattress was in really bad shape, it broke my back. there's no heating, it was cold at night.

Very nice and accommodating owners; very cozy and calm; perfect location with nice walking area around and right next to a bus stop going downtown; definitely much nicer than big hotel - small business worth supporting!

Mattress could be renewed

Very nice breakfast. Lucio will get you anything you need. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We love Washington DC and cannot wait to go back.
