Best Western Plough and Harrow Hotel

Large old style hotel with new building attached. Very quiet rooms, peaceful hotel.Never really had much contact with staff so can't comment. Lounge /bar etc area looked nice. Good location.

Impossible to locate with Google maps kept going round in circles and signage is only on front of building not visible from road unless that easily... Also the room could do with an upgrade the path pane was hanging off and the taps didn't work great in bathroom. Could not locate an extractor fan in bathroom. Otherwise was OK. Meagre selection of tea/coffee sachets and no biscuits🙄. Also the hotel was very empty or seemed to be but they didn't give me a room that was anything special.. Will add night staff did communicate well with me as had to check in very late... Would use this hotel again for location just would want nicer room.

Nice hotel with everything I need for my visit which involved hospital visiting

No staff on reception upon arrival. Email stated happy hour at the bar was 5-7 only to be told it wasn’t when we arrived. Rooms were very very outdated, dusty, not clean see photos of bath and windows, bed linen not fresh, the Neck oil on draught was flat. Overall very poor stay apart from the breakfast.

La pulizia un po' carente e tanta tanta polvere ovunque. Il caldo anomalo della fine di aprile ha fatto in modo che si soffrisse la mancanza delle pale o di un condizionatore in camera, anche se il resto della struttura non ne necessitava

Room was big, and clean enough. Breakfast was good value for money, with both hot and cold options on offer. Location was perfect for the Birmingham half marathon, meaning a 20 minute walk to the start line.

Parking was £15 per night charge - though this was in the initial information about the hotel, it seemed steep/ unnecessary. There was a wedding party the same night - incredibly lough beyond midnight (the music, not the guests), even in the room - making it impossible to sleep. The bathroom under the sink had no panelling, so exposed brick and pipework, along with cobwebs. The TV in the room didn't work. Overall, very disappointing for the money paid.

Felt like 2nd class patrons...Hotel had a huge wedding booked and lots of guests that took over thr hotel, bar was too busy so couldn't enjoy the afternoon as was taken over by wedding guests..we were not informed at time of booking this would be taking place.. we.wouodbt have booked had we known After returning from am event in city Hotel had loud music and noise till midnight..not to mention thr constant slamming of doors, which kept us up most of night, hotel needs to fit slow close doors to all rooms...not good experience all round...😡 No apology or consideration given to paying hotel guests outside of wedding groups
