Economy Inn

As the manager made excuses for the mess in his office I was prepared to anything. Luckily the room was clean and recently redecorated. Apart from a couple of minor damages in the bathroom area everything was fine. But hey, it was only the have a budget room on short notice and for that purpose it was fine enough.

I asked for an iron because our room didn't have one and the lady in the office said they only had one for the entire hotel and that she needed to grab it from someone else. Also, she was on the phone the entire time while attending me. We were only there for one night though so we didn't let it bother us too much.

Motel was definitely in the ghetto. More so than I expected. The room itself was the only good thing going for it. Clean, relatively quite, well maintained, moderately comfortable. I would only recommend this motel to someone who is looking for a cheap and clean room to sleep and shower and leave. There's no lobby, check in is done while standing outside and talking to someone through a security window as if you were buying movie tickets. No breakfast of any kind and no services. But all you need is a no frills, no drama, small clean room to sleep and don't mind the area then this is your place.

The hotel was ok for the price but does need some improvements. Had problems with door interior lock not working at all and the toilet water pressure was bad. It also needs some up dates on interior decor.

Beds were very uncomfortable and when we left we were covered in some type of bites that weren't already there

Arrived early for equipment I purchased for my company. Booked online. Called a highly scored hotel & asked for a corporate rate. Was 3x's the price in a dark parking lot. Found this & parking lot was well lit. Room had plenty of space,clean & slept well. I'm staying again my next trip to Austin.

For the price it was not worth it. There were several events in Austin and most hotels were booked so this was a last minute reservation. Hotel is on it's last leg. Many small things wrong with it. There was a very strong cleaning product smell in room. Next time I will drive the few extra miles to Round Rock for a better stay hotel.

Very shady neighborhood. Lots of highway noise. Cigarette ashtrays on ac vent so if anyone smoked outside the smoke came right in the room

The parking area was very secure and the room very clean. Peter and his wife were extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely stay there again

Pros: - cheap - close to Austin - good tv channels - good wifi - pleasant smelling, non-smoking room - comfortable bed Cons: - highway noise - no office: check-in is done outside, through plexi-glass - manager couldn't find my reservation, though he was holding my ID with my name spelled out - bathroom door didn't close: knob not functional - door lock was missing the chain It wasn't terrible, but I don't plan to stay there again.
