Milkwood Manor on Sea

What a fantastic hotel. It's in a stunning location overlooking both the lagoon at Plettenberg, and also Lookout Beach, We arrived too early to check in, but wanted to get changed and head to the beach. Not only did the hotel allow us to use their bathrooms to do this, they also provided us with beach towels, deckchairs and a parasol! This meant a near perfect day on the beach soaking up the beautiful sunshine and splashing about in the warm ocean waves. Large, clean, well-equipped room with great views. Excellent breakfast.

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The location couldn't be better right on the sand at the end of a quiet road. Our view from our balcony was amazing. The beds were comfy and the room had everything to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was ok. Beverley on the front desk and Jimmy who washed the cars and supplied the cushions and towels for the sun deck were super helpful.

Beautiful! The view from our room was stunning, overlooking the sand dunes to the sea. We sat outside and watched a kingfisher diving for diner, what a great show. Light bright and airy, comfy beds and the bathroom had underfloor heating. The shower was fantastic, first place in a week that had a face cloth and shower cap, its a rainfall shower so perfect and thankyou. Breakfast was a treat, lovely staff with the best smile and the food was delicious as was the coffee. So pleased we stopped here and only downside was we were only here for one night.

If you want to be on the beach with fabulous views of the sea and lagoon, this is the place to come. The beach has lifeguards on duty. You can walk 5km plus. The staff are very helpful and the place is kept very clean. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel

Wonderful location and very helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and fresh with excellent views. Will definitely be back again soon. The room we stayed in was a little dark as the windows overlooked the carpark and we had to keep the curtains closed so I would definitely recommend an upstairs room or one overlooking the lagoon

Beachfront Hotel- Location Location Location!! The selling point of this Hotel was definitely its location, at the end of a small road down to the beach at Plett, and the last building before you reach the sand! We walked across the sand for afternoon drinks at one of the beach bars to watch the sun set over the surf, and then just across the sand again to the other beach bar for dinner with an ocean view. Our room was tastefully decorated with a nautical feel, extremely clean and a view of the beach and the bay from our room. The bathroom had a large shower and was really clean with all the extra cosmetic supplies you may need. Breakfast included fruit, cereals and yoghurt, with toast and a choice of cooked meals as well. The staff were attentive and friendly, and our hire car was even washed by staff in the morning! Whilst we didn’t go up to the main town, it could be walked - but would be all uphill!

What a lovely surprise! And what a great find!This is a small bed and breakfast establishment that is next to a few very good restaurants so you need not drive at all if you don't need to. The staff were just so welcoming and made one feel at home from the very start. The rooms were great with every amenity one would need and very comfy beds. The breakfast was amazing and again the staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Do your self a favour and get up early, before breakfast, and walk along the Lookout Beach. It made our day! Would I say there again. You bet I would and soon too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Warm welcome, well organised staff members. My room 9 was upstairs and had a balcony with side seaviews and faced the public parking lot. Double glazed windows helped for noise protection. Room was spacious and had a small fridge, tea and coffee making facility. Bathroom has a free standing bath and a shower. A la carte breatkfast is served at the restaurant. Well organised and friendly staff. I had a very enjoyable stay.

We had an upstairs room with balcony and it was very nice, large bathroom and super clean. The location was as the name suggests, right by the sea, with wonderful views. Breakfast was delicious and served in the adjoining restaurant, staff in the hotel were lovely and we even had our car washed by the car attendant.

Great location with very clean & nicely furnished rooms. The beach is a short walk away & a treat. They did not do lunch & dinner at the time but recommended restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very friendly & the breakfast was very tasty & well presented. Overall a nice value for money experience.
