Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel

Excellent location. Very short walk to trams, river, restaurants and cafes, destinations like immigration museum, and shops. Very comfortable and clean. A problem with the television was sorted promptly by friendly staff. Good facilities e.g. pool, onsite cafe.

We were there for 3 nights and would have liked our room serviced (rubbish removed, tea bag supply topped up, etc). Pillows very uncomfortable and no selection offered.

I went here for the pool & spa

Purchased this hotel for the pool & spa to find out that they were closed. I wouldn’t have gone there otherwise. Very disappointed . Doesn’t take 2 days to be cleaned! And when you went there there was no cleaning being done! Just a closed sign! Paid $25 to get into the room earlier to have to change rooms twice & the first room wasn’t what I’d paid for. So I couldn’t even call reception as the internal phone never worked! Second room didn’t even have a phone. Had to go to reception twice down the elevator as I couldn’t just call. When reception was told they didn’t really care.

The two bedroom apartment was a great size and we had a brilliant view over the city. Staff were very helpful providing additional teabags etc when we asked. Would definitely stay again.

Over all good location. Staff are helpful.
