Ramada Resort by Wyndham Shoal Bay

Sehr schönes Appartement für 4 Personen mit guter Ausstattung. Es waren 2 Zimmer jeweils mit eigenem Badezimmer.

The staff were shocking, booked relatively last minute 2 hours prior to arrive, arrived at 4pm and they took forever to get a room ready and were just very unhelpful and rude. Wouldn't let us keep our bags in the room or behind the counter.

Location is amazing. Right on Shoal Bay foreshore with restaurants close by. Apartment type feel was much more comfortable than a standard hotel room.

Construction was happening at the front of the building so was a little messy and noisy, but largely unavoidable. This could have been advertised prior to booking however, rather than in an email after payment was already made. Also, the pool heaters were broken so we couldn't swim (in winter) as originally planned.

Everything

The hotel is in an excellent location with plenty of cafes, and restaurants around for those who don’t want to go too far from their accommodation. Parking was great, the apartment was comfortable with great wifi, and the balcony in our room had the most stunning views. We didn’t end up cooking during our stay but the kitchen was well equipped.

The noise coming up from the bar at the front of the property was loud every single night. Too loud to ignore and we needed noise cancelling headphones to get any sleep because the sports bar doesn’t close until 4am. The furniture and the apartment in general were dated and made the accommodation feel quite overpriced. I assume the balcony view is how they justify the price charged. The kettle in our room was absolutely filthy too and needed descaling. The Ramada, like many hotels and serviced apartments in Australia, has taken to removing covers from their duvets opting instead to ram it between two sheets to save on time when turning over a room. It’s a practice I find utterly repulsive, as it rarely stays tucked between them and goodness knows how often they’re cleaned. Hoping we move away from this madness at some point.
