Monte Villa Hotel

Was driving from Denver to southwest Colorado and didn't want to drive over wolf creek pass in the dark, was getting tired so booked a room. Got in around 9:30 pm and checked in, very nice couple greeted us at the counter and we're extremely friendly and courteous, gave us a little history of the building and off to the room we went. It wasn't a very big room but perfect for me and my wife. Really comfortable bed. Super cute place if we have to travel through again will be staying again.

Historic and eclectic! If you want “run of the mill” -this isn’t it. Owners offered excellent hospitality & service.

Monte Villa is a quaint historic local hotel. The owners suggested a great place for dinner. The room was small, but clean. They had homemade breakfast sandwiches for breakfast, which were yummy.

Small town so can't complain about the location. I love vintage and the vibe of this place feels like it's from old 50s movies or the ski lodge in White Chrismas. The owner upgraded our bedroom for free. The bathroom is super tiny but it was very clean. Love the breakfast.

I was impressed by the quaint elevator and classy interior design. The owner tried to make me feel at home. It was the best place to relieve the fatigue of a hard journey. I felt deeply grateful to her and would like to visit the beautiful place again.

It is a very old historical building. Owner keeps the place very clean. Very convenient location.

I love old properties. The bed was very comfortable, the room was small as we had a king bed but very clean and quiet.

The bathroom was uncomfortably small, with insufficient space for even one person. The sink was unusually tiny, and the towels provided were unclean.

We arrived just after check-in time of 15:00. Good thing I was with someone having a cellphone ( I do not have one ) as we had to call to get someone to show up to check us in. Then while understanding the person was a bit difficult do to their dialect we were able to get both rooms and key cards. Was was confusing to me was that they did not want my credit card which was used to hold the reservation. And instead insisted that Hotels.com would handle the transaction (I think) Anyway they were nice and showed us the layout and how to use the period elevator. I hope that I do not have any trouble about being charged correctly for the 2 rooms; as there was a price difference though not bad enough to complain. Overall we enjoy our stay in the hotel and breakfast was very good. Thank you to Linda!! We would very much like to stay here again & there are not that many places I can that abut. Thank you to Monte Villa!!
