My first visit , really helpful staff , had 2 offers to help me with my bags, treated in the car park and offered help . Enjoying the use of the swimming pool included in room rate and free parking

I travel extensively for business and had noticed this hotel advertised several times, but this was my first opportunity to stay and I am so glad I finally did! From the moment I arrived early one evening, I was impressed. The reception area is light, airy, and welcoming, flowing into a relaxed coffee/seating area that's perfect for catching up on emails or having conversations with colleagues or friends. The reception staff were warm, professional, and could not do enough to help – setting the tone for the outstanding customer service I experienced throughout my stay. I took advantage of the unusually warm English summer evening with a peaceful walk along the nearby river, which was a lovely touch after a long day. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the impressive leisure and spa facilities and they did not disappoint. As someone who travels frequently, maintaining fitness and wellbeing can be a challenge, but this hotel makes it easy. The gym is spacious and well-equipped, with a fantastic range of equipment. I was especially pleased to see a ladies-only gym, a leisure pool, jacuzzi, and a beautiful thermal spa area. I also looked at the gym class timetable – it was the kind of variety and frequency I can only dream of at my local gym! I enquired about joining a class and was warmly welcomed, so I kicked off my Monday evening with an energising body conditioning session, followed by a relaxing swim and time in the thermal suite. I had booked a small double room for my one-night stay. It was spotless, well laid out with ample storage, a power shower, tea/coffee facilities, and everything I needed. Like the rest of the hotel, it was immaculately clean and well maintained. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was another highlight – plenty of choice, freshly prepared dishes, and very reasonable prices. The food was delicious and the service was just as excellent as the rest of my experience. Breakfast was a buffet - again I found plenty of choices available and freshly cooked options available. My only regret? That I did not stay here sooner! I will definitely be returning – both for business and leisure.

Lovely hotel situated next a lovely river. We stayed in a king room which wasn’t very big but enough room for 2, only reserve would be the lack of storage if staying more than one night, unfortunately the bedside lights didn’t work which was a bit of pain in the evening. The bed was very firm which we aren’t used too but it was clean with a good amount of pillows. The hotel left a birthday card and gift voucher for the bar for my mums birthday which a lovely touch. We didn’t use the hotel facilities but they seemed clean and well equipped, they were very busy as the hotel is open to the public to use and was very popular, this was a slight deterrent for us as we would have liked it a little less busy. Breakfast had choice of cereals, fruit and a fry up however the restocking was slow and there wasn’t a lot on offer. The staff were very friendly from the moment we checked to the moment we checked out. The hotel was in a good location, 20 minutes drive to the old Trafford centre and 25 minutes for the AO arena. I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in the area.

Good overall. room clean & tidy. 1) Had a bit of an issue with the (sprinkler) light flashing every 7 seconds all night. So getting off to sleep a bit of a problem. 2) No blinds or net curtains at window on ground floor. 3) No mini fridge.

Stayed here recently and the Hotel is ok. Pros: Parking Breakfast Facilities onsite Cons: Housekeeping Small Room Lack of Storage No Safe in Room Building Works The hotel is located by the River Mersey and I liked the location, car parking was available and close to the Metro for the tram. The room was quite small for what I was supposed to have had, bed was supposed to be a King but I don’t think it was (smaller than my king at home). No proper storage in the room, a few hangers and a desk so end up living out of a suitcase for a few days. All other facilities in the room as expected, iron/ironing board, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. No room safe which was unusual and no climate control apart from a fan. Housekeeping - didn’t change towels or bedding or toilet roll, had to ask for all these things at some point which is disappointing as these are basics and should be done daily. Facilities onsite were good, food and bar available to buy from, pool and gym available with sauna, steam rooms and hot tubs if you wanted to use them. I suppose it’s more like a swimming pool and gym with rooms. Also there were a lot of building works going on at the hotel, this should be communicated to guests as it can cause disruption and did to any peace and quiet in the room. The staff onsite were good, very friendly and helpful, especially Sian who was usually singing around the communal areas and she was brilliant. Breakfast was also good, buffet style and plenty of choice, hash browns were excellent and a good way to start the day. Would I stay again, I don’t think I would just a few too many cons to warrant me staying again, some mentioned above such as the room size, storage and housekeeping and once they close the till at the bar you can only order and charge to your room they wouldn’t take my money so went to bed and it was still pretty early considering the bar was open to 1am.
