Leonardo Club Hotel Dead Sea

This property is all inclusive great for kids. There are ices drinks and shows at night which kids love and will keep them busy the entire day which helps when adults want to go and enjoy the resort a little bit on their own. I definitely would recommend for families.

A few days ago I spent a day at the hotel. I will never make a reservation using Xpedia from next time. 1. Sitting at the counter, a lady named "Angel" kept us waiting for an hour. She didn't find a reservation on Xpedia. So, my family didn't make it to time to use the Dead Sea Pool. There was no reward. Even the male manager couldn't help us. He didn't even apologize. 2. We paid for the hotel expenses including Tex at Xpedia. However, we re-assigned and paid for the Tex. It gave me the meaning that this happens if I book with Xpedia. 3. I was comforted by a woman who provided guidance and service to our customers. She served us small mackerel towels, drinks, and late check-outs.

Arrived at 1pm. They told us while check-in was at 3pm, they thought we would get to our room much sooner and they would text us when ready. Never got a text. At 3pm walked up to desk and room was ready... Hotel is not the cleanest. Stairs has trash strewn throughout; This trash was not picked up, but was left there for the complete time we stayed there. Our room had carrots on the floor of the bathroom when we entered for the first time. Also there is a very strange sickly smell coming from the bathroom sink drain. They used queen non-fitted sheet as the bottom sheet on the king bed, so most of the night was sleeping on just the mattress. The shower does not work properly; one of the shower heads did not work at all; the other one sprayed all over the bathroom. There is also rust on all of the metal in the bathroom. Everything is corroded. And this needs mentioning again, this very strange sickly smell coming from the bathroom sink drain... The hotel is very crowded, many families and kids; there is a nice-sized pool, and a couple of water slides. However, the water slides are only open a few hours each day. The pool is extremely crowded with kids and adults. There is also a trash/sewage smell near the shallow end of the pool. The hot-tub in the spa area was packed to overflowing. The exercise room is only open from 8am - 8pm. And only for people over 18 years of age. However, the paper they gave us at arrival stated it opened at 6am, and some of hotel staff said it opened at 6:30am. This is an all-included hotel. The food is served buffet style. There is a lot of food that they serve, and a lot of options. The food is good quality, not great quality, though. Lastly, the smoking. It was almost everywhere in this hotel. In the pool area, and in the actual rooms. Our room was right across from a room that constantly had smoke coming out from underneath the door and smelled horrible. As a family of non-smokers, and as a family that goes out of its way to avoid smokers, this was just horrible... We ended up cutting our stay short one day at this hotel. When I went to the front desk to tell them we were leaving early, I did not expect a refund. But at the very least, I expected the front desk person to ask (a) is everything ok; (b) is there something at the hotel that is causing us to leave early; (c) I am so sorry to hear that you are leaving early. However, the response was only 'OK'... In the future, we will plan our trip to just stay in Jerusalem, and take a day trip to the Dead Sea without staying in the hotels there.

This hotel had many issues throughout our 5 day stay. Most of the staff were impolite and were ready to deny/lie about the issues brought to them. On the first day there was a large water leak outside our room. The whole carpet was wet and this looked like a reoccurring issue as the wall had past water damage. We wanted to change rooms however they said it wasn’t possible. Next issue was the pool from 14:00 on it had a smell of sewage. It was horrible. When we asked the staff what the smell was, they looked at us and said ‘what smell?’ . This was obviously a coverup as everyone was talking about this odor. On the third night of our stay there was a partial power outage for hours. The staff had no answers for us and there were no vouchers or complimentary services to make up for this fact. During meal times there were very long lines for meals and it was as if the staff had never served before. It wasn’t my first time in an all inclusive hotel so I am understanding of waits however this was unbelievable. Sometimes waiting 30 minutes for a dish. Also they claimed they had entertainment however this staff needed to leave to Eilat halfway through our stay. On top of these issues, the hotel was very dirty and in disrepair. I gave it 2 stars because it is so close to the beach. This is the only redeeming quality of this hotel. Do not stay here! You will be disappointed greatly.

Our experience at Leonardo Club at the Dead Sea was outstanding. A big thank you to Shulamit for her exceptional service that made our stay even more memorable. The hotel offers excellent accommodations, delicious food, and a variety of activities, all in a prime location right by the Dead Sea. Whether it was relaxing by the pool or enjoying the local scenery, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend for a fantastic Dead Sea experience!

Maintenance of the hotel can be better.
