"Lovely hotel, but very expensive."

Excellent if traveling with children and all staff were very friendly, only down side is that the bedrooms are not what you would expect for a hotel that calls itself luxury, rooms are tired and in desperate need of updating.

"Family and pet friendly hotel"

This hotel is a bit quirky but that's the charm of it. It is like a home from home. We had our 10 year old and also our family dog and just felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was lovely. Would of been nice if had alternative for dinner ie bar/lounge menu. But just an observation. Had lovely stay and would stay again.

"Lovely short trip"

We stayed for one night and had a brilliant time. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. All the little extras are so nice, for example being able to borrow buckets and nets, or wellies, and all the facilities for young children which makes a break for parents so much nicer. The breakfast was amazing, a lovely selection. The room was very comfortable and clean, although a little dated. We will definitely be back.

"Food too expensive and little choice -no bar meals"

I was unhappy about the choice of food at this lovely hotel. There was no bar food menu only a restaurant a la carte menu and a fixed price menu which was £35 for a 3 course meal. The a la carte menu was expensive too with a limited amount of choice. Also smokers are allowed in the outside seating area, and as my room was above, the smoke was coming into my room. At 12 midnight someone started dragging trollies across the yard which took about 20 mins which woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep.
