"Exceptional"

The Slate Hotel in Phuket is a luxury resort. I had a wonderful stay here, the spa and restaurant facilities are excellent. The breakfast buffet is especially impressive. Staff are extremely friendly, polite and quick to respond to any queries. I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Only thing I would change is the pillows in the bedroom - they are all quite soft and flat.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort for 5 nights. The adults only pools are a huge plus for couples without kids - you can enjoy the weather and relax. Dining options are great - breakfast is very good, and for lunch and dinner you have multiple choices including a Michelin restaurant- all the prices are reasonable. The Spa was great, and also the cooking class was very fun. We had one issue in our last night - there was an event at the resort- a concert right outside our room, at 23:30 we had to call the reception a few times and ask to stop it, it is ridiculous that we paid 350 Euro a night and since 14:00 they started with sound checks drums and what-not. They blasted us with loud music while all we wanted to do is relax. The day after we checked out we mentioned this, and they compensated us in 200 THB (7 Euro)…For this kind of resort I would expected a more personal approach and handling.

"Incredible honeymoon stay"

WOW, we had the best honeymoon stay at The Slate. After a really poor experience at Avista Grande Karon despite positive reviews, we were a little sceptical in the lead up to driving to The Slate. But from check in to check out, we had an incredible experience. Staff are super attentive, the breakfast spread is delectable and the grounds are stunning. There are 3 pools (family, adult & quiet), all kept clean and easy to get a subbed (an issue we experienced at the previous hotel). There are lots of activities including badminton, archery, tennis etc. The gym is also very modern and has all the equipment you would need for a great workout. The beach is close by with some street food stalls and massage places, roughly 300 baht for a foot massage which is similar to other areas in Phuket/Bangkok. The airport is only a 10min drive away. Overall, I would highly recommend The Slate!

Love love love The Slate! Perfect location for long beach walks, great pools, breakfast & Black Ginger is amazing! Good dining options outside of the hotel as well directly on the beach, can't wait to go back.
