Comfort Inn & Suites Chipley

We got to the property and checking into our room the beds were dirty and stained sheets, food left in the mini fridge, and trash under the desk. I went to the front desk and asked for a new room, but they did sent housekeeping down and changed the sheets and cleaned. All employees were so nice and greeted us with a smile. It just wasn’t the cleanest hotel.

I paid more for Queen size beds and they don't have queen beds.

The hotel seemed clean but the room felt and smelled damp. The a/c was locked to not go below a certain temperature so the room never cooled down enough to get rid of the humidity. Check in was smooth and breakfast had a good variety.

Clean, comfortable.

This particular property is not up to par with others. We had a roof leak that flooded the hallway, and no one seemed too fussed about it--so we just sloshed our way in & out for the duration. Shower didn't work in our room. I've stayed in worse--so OK for a quick overnite.

Our room was in need of repair. Shower curtain rod was coming off rod. Cracked tiles in bathroom. The halls and room smelled sour and musty.

Comfortable bed hotel is newly renovated

The property is in really bad state. The room had wholes on the walls, spot where they put newer paint and you could see the difference. It smelled like humidity horribly. At night, the room had cockroaches and other insects. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The mattress of the sofa bed was all stained. Avoid this hotel if possible.

It was ok. Shower rod in shower causes curtain to hang only in the middle. Cannot close sides. Just slides back to the middle. Shower/tub faucet has a constant drip. Shower head sprays in different directions. Can turn it to a different setting but it takes all pressure away from the flow. Mold by vent in bathroom ok ceiling. A/C in room is full of dust. Room smells like mildew and carpet felt gross. Fridge and microwave a plus but no little freezer section in the fridge. Never went to the pool. Husband said it didnt looks so great for swimming. Breakfast was the same all 3 days which was ok. Canned sausage gravy and hard biscuits. Steamed sausage patties and scrambled eggs. 3 cereal choices, bread, bagels and packaged muffins. Oatmeal. Boiled eggs and chobani yogurt. Waffle maker. Coffee dispenser, juice/water dispenser. People smoking weed on our floor. Do you boo but I didnt appreciate that with my kids. Stairwell has an impressive amount of mattresses and box springs in the center(where you would normally look down into an empty abyss). The price was definitely not worth it. Paid way too much. There were other fast food restaurants nearby, gas stations, Wal-Mart and dollar tree.

Do not book. Our room was so moldy we couldn’t stay. Unsafe for our four children, or anyone else for that matter. Needs to be shut down. Mold was so bad we left right after checking in.
