Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Norton - Wise South

Property itself is in a great location, but it is severely lacking in cleanliness when we checked into our room, not only were the floors so dirty that our socks were jet black within a few minutes of walking across the floors bathtub was completely clogged with hair. There was a drink, appeared to be a margarita sitting on the nightstand, half all the bedding was stained. There was also food growing its own city underneath both beds.

Roaches, air didn't work. Everything smelled like cigarette smoke

Disgusting. Mouse poop, black mold, trash in the rooms. We had 24 rooms to attend a nearby state baseball tournament. No one could stay it was so nasty. We ended up having to go to Tennessee, an hour away. The worst is they refused to refund my money saying I agreed to a non refundable rate. They agreed to a clean, safe room but did not provide it.

The room was clean & bed was very comfortable, however the excercise equipment was mostly unuseable

Plenty of room

The sheets on the bed were very wrinkled and I PRAY they were clean. I have never seen wrinkled sheets going into a new room. The tub needed a good cleaning, there was debris on the microwave,and refrigerator, one of the trash cans had no bag and there was a used q-tip in it and the remote did not work.

The location

The pool was disgusting and that’s the reason we booked this particular hotel. The entrance was super smelly and dirty. Was afraid to let my 2 year old play in the floor as the carpet was dirty in our room.

We didnt mind staying there, HOWEVER our room smelled horrible, there was food and bugs on the floor, old food in the microwave, sheets were stained and had several ciggerette burns, and our room was given to another couple within 10 minutes of being there. We spoke with the front desk about cancelling because of the poor conditions and they said to go through expedia for the full refund. We didnt want a full refund, we didnt mind paying for the night and a cancellation fee since the front desk was very helpful. However a couple days later Expedia reached out that the econo lodge was not going to honor any refunds becuase of the specific booking. If i thought i needed to get hotel booking insurance just for basic living conditions, i wouldve gotten it. But that wasnt the case.

The air conditioning took half of my hotel stay to work and the walls and bathroom were dirty. However the manager was very friendly and helpful.

It was clean and comfortable. Everyone was very friendly
