Silkari Lagoons Port Douglas

Had a swin out room. Fantastic set up. Room was fully equipped, clean and tidy. Had a lovely time.

We had a great stay at Silkari Lagoons in Port Douglas. The 2-bedroom apartment was well set up with good cooking and BBQ facilities, comfy beds, and great showerstoo. A bit far to walk into town with kids, but only a 5-minute drive. Easy to pop into neighbouring resorts for lunch/dinner (or a sneaky swim). Higky recommend getting a swim-out apartment – there are six pools and they’re great. Surrounded by tropical plants so a few leaves, but cleaned twice daily and always felt fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice short walk to the beach too. Good option for a relaxed, family-friendly stay.

The room was adequate for a short stay. The 4 mile beach is pretty Convenient base to visit Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge Pool was off the balcony

The sink for the kitchen area was way too small. Just washing a cup was difficult in not getting water everywhere. The fridge needs to be defrosted - everything froze and was spoiled. The bathroom sink clogged everytime it was used - probably due to people using it to wash their dishes. It was a long walk out of the main town - about 40mins The resort had no restaurant - had to eat at the adjoining resort ( The Ramada). Limited parking No local places to eat out The 4 Mile beach only has a small patrolled swimming area Definitely benefited from having a hire car.

Very comfortable firm bed, spacious room, nice decor, great access to pools to swim in,

Shower had mould, lots of steps to drag luggage up to second floor, with only o e left at the other end of a long corridor, no food available on site- had to go to resort next door for meals

It is a great family friendly place to stay that is accommodating and flexible. This is our second time back to Silkari and we are already looking at when we can return.
