"Just like home!"

10.0

We loved staying at this bed and breakfast! Geoffry (our host) and Jonathan (the cook) took very good care of us! Every morning we had fresh fruit, OJ, milk, delicious pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs, and toast. Better than any hotel breakfast I have ever had! We had never stayed in a B & B before, and we were very happy. Very close to several good restaurants as well. People were friendly and a safe place to be. Would stay there agian!

"Cluttered, tacky B&B in a convenient location."

4.0

There's little to recommend about this B&B. The premises are cluttered with tacky flea market leftovers, used paperbacks and paintings rendered by talentless hobbyists. If you like '60s wallpaper then this is your nirvana. Otherwise, or just the same, a visit here is an experience in epic tastelessness. The breakfasts, including carbonized bacon, were pretty much inedible unless one chose only to eat the toast. Toronto is a city with a fine restaurant scene and it is recommended to eat elsewhere to this B&B. Sound travels without resistance in this place. This means hearing conversations while in one's room between the owner and guests as they enter or to listening to the owner scold his much too large for the space Doberman. While the location is convenient, the block on which the B&B is located is thoroughly without charm. This is partly due to one of those seemingly ubiquitous in Toronto "Beer Stores" with a massive parking area. Carlton Street to the north is a much more pleasant place to walk. The bathroom in our room was clean. The mattress was a too soft spring one that had a negative effect on my lower back. So, the bed was a zero, the breakfasts were worse and hence the low recommendation.

"hockeytour09"

The hotel was small but very very interesting decor. The breakfast was very good. The tips he gave for nearby restaurants were great choices also. When we go back to Toronto, we will stay there.

"Thank you for a relaxing weekend"

8.0

While this B&B was a bit cluttered, it was very charming. Jeffrey was very hospitable and my room was clean & comfortable. I spend so many weekends in hotels for business, and while the breakfast was not the best, the company and atmosphere was unbeatable. I'll take it any day over a stuffy hotel with a great breakfast. You do need to let the owners know if you plan on bringing a car so that they can accomodate you. I did walk all around the neighborhood without any problems, and I loved the balcony outside my room. I even met the happy neighbors! Thanks for a relaxing place to stay in Toronto.
