It was perfect.

Wow. I LOVED this place. I was a solo female traveller and had the most wonderful, safe, fun, and welcoming stay at Shanti Maurice. From the moment I arrived I knew it was going to be a very special week. Some of the things I loved: bed was so comfy; loved the bedtime story they left me every night - I read them all!; outside shower!; salt scrub at the spa on day 1, my skin has never been so smooth; beach and sea to swim was meters from my patio door; breakfast was amazing; range of restaurants; rum shed and their vanilla Mauritian rum; afternoon snacks in the club lounge to read my book; activities on site; cute duck house and wildlife pond which I enjoyed everytime I went along the boardwalk to my room; staff were so helpful!; sunset across the bay. Literally everything really! They even helped me celebrate my birthday in a way that made remembering mine and my late grandfathers day special and discrete. Special thanks to Keshan and Vishal at Rum Shed for their warmth and for being so lovely on my final night - thank you to the whole shanti team for a superb job well done and for making my stay at your home so special! I hope to return someday.

Un hôtel magnifique avec tout le nécessaire. Une belle piscine, un super spa. Un kids club pour enfants avec des animateurs très sympas et des activités super intéressantes pour les petits.

The resort is well kept, beautiful grounds. The room were spacious, but will opt for a villa in future with two kids, as the room was small for all of us. The snorkelling is amazing, and this is why we chose Shanti. Breakfast was great, pool too.

The food other than breakfast was absolutelly shocking. For a 5 star resort you expect better presentation and flavour. We tried the indian and thai dishes. Both were poor. We then chose to eat out of the hotel. So coming to Shanti to enjoy the food was a fail. This was the case with other guest we met outside the hotel at local restaurants. This is a deal breaker for us. I did not try the rum shed as was closed when we did try and go. A wedding was planned outside our room, with not permission/notice given. With loud music playing for 1-2 hrs. This is not acceptable especially when you have a communal area by the pool. Why not have the wedding there? I asked for a late checkout after 12, and they wanted to bill me per hour. Surely if inconsiderate enough to plan weddings without informing guest infront of their room, you can make an exception to your hourly rate. Manager was meant to come talk to me, but no effort was made by him to do this. I feel management needs a serious wake up call. Its not all about making money, service is important too. Food is paramount. I am not gonna pay for below average food.

TOUT ! L’hôtel est incroyable et le personnel est au petit soin et tellement attentionné. Pleins de petites attentions, ils sont ultra gentils avec les enfants et les installations sont top ! Le SPA et la qualité de leur service en font vraiment un établissement hôtelier haute gamme, et sans parler de la chambre qui était exceptionnelle ! Une parenthèse suspendue dans le temps dans ce lieu si paisible. Nous reviendrons c’est sure ! Merci pour tout ! Et merci tout particulièrement à Kanen qui a rendu notre séjour incroyable et qui est un majordome au top du top !
