Das Kaltschmid

I had a fantastic stay at Das Kaltschmid during the third week in March. I got a great deal on the room, which was perfect for a single person. I needed a vacation and took a week alone in Seefeld for some late season XC skiing. The staff was fantastic and the restaurants were excellent. The hotel was perfectly situated in town, and the pool was a great bonus. Everything was pleasant and easy. I would definitely stay here again. I most likely will, and I look forward to it.

Great spot , lovely family hotel . Please warm the pool up it was freezing !

Family party of 8 with 3 rooms (age ranged from 9 to 65) Booked half board, Both breakfast and evening meal excellent (wine included was a nice touch) Hotel facilities excellent, staff could not have been more helpful

Family room was excellent, really comfortable and spacious. Half Board food was excellent - lots of choice Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

hotel is too big but service and staff is good

This is a lovely hotel which we have been staying in each year since about 2000. Reception staff and Katrina in the lounge bar are very friendly & helpful. Our only disappointment was we asked via Hotels.com for our room not to be in the Furstenhouse part of the hotel, but this request wasn't passed onto the Hotel. The Furstenhiuse is particularly noisy late at night and from about 6.30 am.Being English we didn't bother to request a change which we should have done immediately. Also a lot of the rooms are aimed at families so some of the beds are small. Our party are all adults so the smaller bed was a bit of a sqeeze.On this occasion we decided to have B&B rather than half board in the dining room, as we wanted to eat elsewhere for a change.The other two restaurants in the hotel were fantastic. Food and service was10 out of 10.We'll no doubt be back next year.

Got deal on expedia and did not expect such luxury

We had a large family room, all mod cons but a sliding door between bedrooms would have been a bonus.. overall hotel is quite retro but in good condition. We did half board and enjoyed the food offered. Pool is excellent. Bit expensive but probably market rate.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food in dining room was very good. The spa area was fantastic for tired muscles at the end of the day. Lovely little village.

Lovely traditional style hotel with kind and attentive staff. Minor matter that although we were on the third floor, the night club echoed in the passageway between the adjacent Post Office making for some sleepless nights. Lack of air conditioning required windows and balcony door to be open making the nightclub noise more noticable. Air con in summer heat is really necessary please. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed another visit to Seefeld. Thanks Expedia and the Kaltschmid.
