The location of the hotel is excellent.

The room we were given was situated in the basement of the building on the other side of the street, which meant that our windows faced the street at shoe level of the people walking past. Cars were also passing by just outside, making it feel like we were close to staying on the street.. The staff didn't really seem that interested in us as costumers, and the breakfast was ok but definitely not very impressive. You'd be better off having brunch at one of the local cafés. We had really hoped that this stay would have been a bit more satisfactory, but sadly we were honestly a bit disappointed.

The single rooms were small but perfectly adequate. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The breakfast was really good. A great choice of breads and cereals with fruit , yoghurt and meats and cheese. Really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee etc on offer. The team were great, really helpful. I arrived really early and they managed to get me into my room early. There is a small payment but it was worth it.

Only criticism was the shower room. The radiator next to the toilet was really grubby.

The staff were lovely. The location was excellent, being within walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, museums. The room was very clean.

It was not made clear that our choice of room would be so small and in a separate building across the road to the main building. Also it was subterranean so we were looking up at people walking past the window. The breakfast was ok but rather basic. There was a terrible stench like sewage coming up from the drain below the shower. The hotel tried to say it was the water smelling sulphurous but that was not the case because the water from the shower, taps and toilet had no smell. The only way to get rid of the stench was to cover the shower outlet with a damp cloth when not in use.
