Kona Reef Resort

We liked that is close to shops and restaurants (walking distance). Property is not well maintained and not very clean.

Delay with communication between Expedia and Raintree Vacation Rental. Everything worked out though however site shows checkout at 11am. Management said it changed to 10am. Nice view of ocean from balcony. Fun to watch the surfers. There were four of us with our kids. More comfortable with 3 people but glad for the availability to us. Bedroom is next to elevator and parking and inconsiderate people didn’t mind the quiet hours. Not much sleep. Bedding clean and comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Would Stay again if not for the noise. Management kind and available.

The place was great. We had two rooms on opposite sides of the pool and you HAVE to have your key to get in and out of pool area. I hopped the fence a few times. It was very nice and at a fair price. We stayed at the Hyatt on Maui and it was WAY too busy. I have stayed at the Royal Sea Cliff a number of times, but the Kona Reef Resort was a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shopping. Both of our units were ocean front, ground level. I would definitely stay there again.

I like the keyless entry in the condo unit. No worries about misplacing any keys at all. The condo building was huge. We had a little trouble finding our unit when we arrived at night. I wish evening staff are more in tuned to respond more quickly. We had to asked some of the people who were staying there already.

Great location and staff and views!

This motel exceeded our expectations. We had a beach view outside our sliding glass door to a balcony, and it was a suite so we had a kitchen, living room, in addition to our bedroom and bathroom making the stay very comfortable. I would stay here again in a minute

I loved staying right by the ocean. The hideabed was pretty uncomfortable and in NO way be for 2 people. Everything else was great, except for the toilet kept running and the shower dripped but no biggy. Would love to stay there again. Loved being right next to the sandy beach also because it wasn't crowded like the others

Dirty kitchen, musty - sour smell permeated entire unit, contactless key exchange, etc. meant no chance to rectify concerns before moving in unit.

The condo was beautiful with the most amazing view. Check in was seamlessly easy and the property facilities were well maintained. Condo could use a few more useful kitchen utensils but overall really enjoyable stay

We really liked the location to Kailua-Kona. We could see the beach and the surfers from our lani. We could watch the sunset from the pool and grassy area in front.
