The Inn on the Horse Farm

It was very quaint. The owners were very accommodating. Very quiet. Great for a couples get away. Wasn't expecting the red heart shaped tub and remote control candles!! Nice touch.

We arrived around 4:00 pm, walked around the property and checked out the horses and chickens. Sat out on the porch with a cup of coffee for aa while, then went out to dinner..Morning omelets were great, but the coffee was good also They had a huge variety of teas to sample too. On thing, it was very very quiet at night. We enjoyed our 2 day stay.

This inn has lots of personality and charm. Staff was very accommodating. Pleasant stay!

I was so eager to relax and enjoy this B&B based upon the description online But was disappointed with our stay. Not quaint but could be a great place for American Pickers who deal with old relics. Full breakfast - day 1 eggs and bagel, day 2 a muffin, day 3 the offer of a bagel as we were departing. After this experience it's hotels for me!

This Inn is past its prime. I am confused by the reviews that praise this Inn. Friendly hosts? Saw Joan briefly twice, never met Rick. 1st day breakfast - eggs and bagel 2nd day - muffin 3rd day - offer of bagel as we left Heating was off 1st night so room cold. 2nd night heat was on with a heavy oil stench. Time for this Inn to retire.

It helps if you like A. quirky and B. horses, which reflect in the eclectic decor, and if that's your boat, it will be well and truly floated by the Inn on the Horse Farm. Minimalists and hipsters will hate it but they will be missing out on Joan and Rick's friendly welcome and hearty breakfasts with 'proper' English tea, not the ersatz crappy American version, and eggs from their hens. We were made well and truly welcome, with a relaxed atmosphere, a complimentary bottle of wine, sherry and glassses in the room, a huge jacuzzi bath, along with with the most comfortable bed we encountered on our whole trip around Boston and the coast. Colin, their 9-year old grandson was a superstar on his first experience as breakfast waiter! All the other guests were returning visitors which speaks for itself. All in all a charming experience.

My husband and I spent 2 week nights at the inn during mid April. We found the inn & grounds to be charming, but perhaps in need of a little 'upkeep or maintenance'. The owners are very friendly & accommodating. Our room was comfortable & well equipped. Breakfast was fresh & very tasty. About a 40 minute drive to downtown Boston.

I was upgraded to a very comfortable room with a heart-shaped two-person bath tub. Unfortunately I was traveling solo, but there was a shower, too. Many antique decorations, but modern temperature controls, flat screen TV. fridge.

When we got there we were immediately upgraded to "Georgie's Cottage," the separate building right behind the main house. Georgie the horse is right in your backyard and happy to eat carrots from your hand! The house is lovely and the innkeepers are kind and personable. Breakfast is served each morning and there's plenty of land to walk around and explore.

The owners of this B&B are friendly. We walked all around the grounds the next morning. Beautiful. The room was okay. This inn is old, and it shows. The bed was okay. The room was crowded.
