"Friendliest staff, but extremely small rooms"

6.0

Vera has the best and the most friendly staff I experienced in my entire trip! However, I was a bit disappointed by the room size, the mini-suite was like a matchbox room. Maybe other rooms are better than the suite. The Hotel has listed itself as "accessible", but they didn't have a wheelchair, which was a big disappointment for us as my father walks with a stick as it was a bit uncomfortable with him. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. They are very helpful and polite. If I was traveling alone, I would have rated my experience 10/10. I would recommend Vera to almost everyone (except people who need special assistance), although there was many guests with their own wheelchair and they seem to navigate around the hotel very easily. It's very close to Nevsky prospekt and all the important places of interest is 15-30 mins from the hotel.

"Walking distance from Nevsky Prospect"

10.0

We (a family of 2 Adults + 2Children) stayed at # 615 from 29th May to 5th June 2015. It is a family room on top floor. We were quite weary with long travel as we took the evening Sapsan train to St. Petersburg from Moscow on the same day of our arrival in Russia. We were greeted and received very warmly by Tatiana at Reception. She helped us get our luggage from the corner of the street as the Taxi does not drop at the front door of the hotel. We were given heads up by Leon, the hotel owner not to pay more than 500 Rubles to taxi driver who initially demanded 100 Rubles. Taxis as we found out later in St. Petersburg do not run by meter. One needs to negotiate hard. Not a pleasant thing to do in a foreign land. We were immediately given our room keys and what a delight to see a neat and clean room after a tiresome travel. We reached quite late and all the restaurants were closed by then. Tatiana showed us a food store some 200 meters from Hotel Vera, which is open 24 hours and was very well stocked with Food supplies. Woke up at 4 o clock in the morning as the sun rays filtered through the hotel room window. Witnessed the concept of White Nights come alive first time ever in my life. Went for a walk and looked around everywhere you see old, beautiful and well maintained buildings. A stroll in the near by park was a feast to my weary eyes with so many beautiful flowers. Breakfast was complimentary with a wide selection.

"very good hotels for english speakers"

10.0

The hotel staff , young girls , proper , know English very well , try to help and always with a smile . They are a prerequisite for the success of the visit in Russia , most of the residents do not know an English word ! the girkes help was very important . Location , cleaning the food were excellent ! Highly recommended for English speakers who want to manage their own trip with the hotel staff prepares notes in Russian . also ,all the girls were very young and nice, and it was nice to look at them.

"Good price, Great quality"

10.0

It is prefect. Nice staff, Clean room, Strong wifi. Many good and cheap Turkey restaurants near. However, It is better if the hotel can provide slippers. Also, I caught four mosquitoes in room. Finally, I feel a little bit hot in room.
