Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa Kauai by OUTRIGGER

It is a beautiful property with shopping right across the street.

Only complaint was the resort fee. I did not see that on description. Excellent location on island. Stores food with in walking distance. We traveled every day to different beaches because you are in perfect location for snorkeling or surfing or hiking all within 20 minute drives.

We just got back from a five nights stay here and the grounds are incredible. The pool is absolutely amazing and beautiful. It it is right on the beach, although the beaches there are not really swimmable due to the Rocky nature. The rooms are amazing! Having a kitchen is really important. Unless you want to eat out at every turn and with the prices in Hawaii no one wants to do that. The partial Ocean View is actually mostly of the parking lot but still very nice. We had four of us, two adults and two children. We chose the room with the King size bed in the bedroom and then there is a pull out sofa in the living room. The kids didn't mind the sofa bed, although I would say it is mediocre at best if you have an adult sleeping on it. There is a washer and dryer and a unit which really is incredible. There is no maid service here which works out fine. We did not try the restaurant but her the food was good. It is right across the street from a safeway, ABC store, as well as what is supposed to be the best shaved ice place on the island but we did not get to try it.

This property is amazing if ypu are traveling with kids! 18, 14, and 7 could have stayed at the pool all day if we let them. That being said, the pool was very cold. And took quite a bit of getting used to. We were originally excited about the restaurant on site but after spending 70 dollars on 3 adult drinks that were tiny, we opted to go elsewhere. The location of the resort was nice. Kauai is a small island so it didnt seem like it took forever to get anywhere from the resort. Our condo was amazing. Overlooked the lanai and ocean. Was nice to be able to go out to the beach eventhough i wouldnt let me kids swim there. Overall, would stay here again.

This is not a resort. The pictures are better than the reality. The staff is NOT friendly, There is no staff on after 7pm-9am. So if you need extra blankets or pillows or help with anything, you’re out of luck. They give you one towel per person and then you have to wash it all week but they don’t provide laundry soap. It’s not very clean, the pools are not big and the hot tub is not hot, hot tub temp is about 90. I do not recommend this place and will never go back. The bedding is also two sheets. There’s no comforter on the bed. It’s weird and not a 4 star resort.

They added a resort fee to my room fee that I did not know about and never cleaned our room. When we asked for clean towels they seemed mad

The property was well maintained, very good location its close to everything groceries, airport & the beach. The unit that we stayed is very clean & very spacious. For sure we will stay in the same place next time we visit Kauai

The property was absolutely beautiful. The kids really enjoyed the pool and slides. My husband and I liked the 3 hot tuns. The pool is advertised on the internet as heated, and while it probably is a little heated, it wasn't warm enough for me personally. But the kids and my husband loved it. Waipouli is Resort is located in an area that is an easy drive to so many beautiful beaches. Shopping at Safeway directly across the street was very convenient. Our condo and the facilities was clean up to date and comfortable. I highly recommend this resort for families.

The property and room was much better tha. We expected. The room was very large with a couch that slept both kids easily. The pool was a big hit with a 7 and 9 year old. Ocean was nice to walk down too but not for swimming, not in the winter months at least. Overall it was nicer than I expected. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again if we make it back to Kauai.
