Old Wheeler Hotel

A fantastic remake of a great old hotel! Modern bathrooms, windows, etc., but nicely preserved old style hotel charm, with antique furnishings, etc. Has an elevator for access, and an absolutely fantastic staff. Adequate breakfast, and an overall pleasant stay.

The Hotel has a wonderful personality all of its own. Step back to the 1930’s and relax. The owner Katie make your stay in history an event. I’ll will always come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our room in this beautifully restored and period decorated 1920 hotel overlooked the bay. The view was spectacular in the morning as the sun was rising. Our room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the woman who greeted us was adorable and super friendly. We spent two days and truly enjoyed our time at the Old Wheeler Hotel.

Wheeler is an old town. Buildings are lined up in one side of Highway 101. (The traffic on 101 is minimal day and night, at least in winter.) But the hotel? A gem. Full of period furniture, trinkets, odds and ends, it seduces you immediately. A wonderful 'sitting' room. Tons of books, videos and board games. Educated guests with respect for others and for the premises initiate stimulating conversations. AND, an EXCELLENT restaurant just around the corner!.

Katie is a great host. Very friendly and helpful. Fantastic dinners at Rising Star (around the corner), too. Amazing view of the bay and very nice breakfast included

My wife and I had a great time. It was quiet and the decor was marvelous.

Hotel was quiet because of low season. The room was adequate and comfortable,hotel staff helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good and ample. Would stay again in future.

Stayed at Old Wheeler Hotel for two nights and loved every bit of it. Staff lady was nice and helpful. Overall atmosphere made us feel at home.

Loved the victorian decor and the view from our window of the mountains and river.
