Kyriad Dunkerque Loon Plage

We have stayed many a time here and its been fine for a night, but don't ever turn up after 11pm at night if your english, as the information on the door is not for english people, well the phone number isn't clear to understand if your using a english mobile, we couldn't get in with the number on the door, we went over to the other hotel for help like the notice told us to do, who threatened to call the police but eventually gave us the number to get in, then when we got in, it took us a hour and a half to wake someone that wasn't on call to give us are key to the room, not very good when you've been on the road for 12 hours, and all you want is some sleep, plus you have a early start for the ferry in the morning.

Handy bar open until 11pm. Limited options nearby without vehicular transport.

Hotel is very close to Dunkirk port (only 5 minute drive from port). The room size is reasonable. The staff are friendly and speaks good English. It's good for stopover and Value for money too.

The hotel is located outside of Dunkirk, and is a good 20 minute drive to either the beach or town centre. However, it is easy to find and is only 30 minutes from the channel tunnel.

Stayed once before in room [ 03 ], even though we had some problems we thought we would give it another go with friends, but there was still faults, in are room [ 03 ] main light bulb not working, but it was nice that radiator was off this time, in are friends in room [ 37 ] they couldn't work out how to use the window shutter, just like us the first time, so we had to show them as no one tells you how to, but there radiator was on full blast again, no way to turn it down, just like we had the first time and they couldn't get the air condition to do anything, so found it very hard to sleep as it was just to hot with the radiator, really needs sorting so customers can put it on or be able to turn it off, as it wasn't even cold outside, hope there will be some improvements next time we visit, and i still suggest 2 hard and 2 soft pillows in each double room as trying to sleep with 2 soft is not pleasant

Arrived at 3:30pm and found out room not ready, cleaners were made aware but did outside the room chatting with other guests for about an hour so we couldn't get into the room. Rooms were clean but very tired, could do with a refresh. 15%of at the restaurant over the road was good, service excellent but steaks not great, plus a lot on the menu was not available. Receptionist took city tax on arrival but the receptionist in the morning tried to take it again. The supermarket over the road was open till 8 so able to get some snacks. There is a bar in the hotel but only opens at 7pm so no good coffee facilities before then.

Great for a one night stay, could of done with 2 harder pillows on the bed, shutter for window was jammed so i hardly slept off fear of someone coming throw the window which we had to leave open as couldn't turn radiator off

Basic hotel, beds were ok. Place was clean, very small. Didn't smell too fresh. Ok for the price paid and got 1 night.

For one night is ok. Just to rest. For longer stay.... no
