Skaket Beach Motel

Wonderful stay!

I'm not sure if these rooms are recently renovated, but we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern! We had a great nightly rate for the offseason, and the entire property was very quiet and in a convenient location.

Very clean, nice and very helpful owners. Only issue for some is that the breakfast options were limited.

I have stayed here before and the location is good, convenient and walkable. My room faced 6a which I requested. Newly renovated and nice however the heating was very loud, even on low and I could hear snoring in next room at night. That all said, I would stay here again. Apart from heating, really nice clean spacious room in good location

Mattress, pillows and bed frames were awful the whole left side of my body is jacked up after sleeping there still 5 days later. The water pressure was terrible in the shower. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was impeccably clean. The hotel was right across the street from a shopping plaza that had anything you could possibly want.

As a former professional innkeeper, my standards are high (although my expectations were low for this booking). I have trained dozens of staff on room cleaning to maintain AAA Diamond rating at our establishments, and I could find no fault with this room. Everything was dust free, including baseboards, pictures frames, headboards, corners and behind the TV (a place usually overlooked). Not one hair in the tub - a particular pet peeve - and it takes thorough cleaning with a microfiber after disinfecting to get every single one. Microwave and fridge were clean, room smelled fresh, not a speck of dirt on the faux wood floor, no stains. Bedding was crisp and our usual check for bed bugs (necessary at EVERY hotel these days) revealed mattress encasements properly zipped, ruling this out immediately, in addition to being uncarpeted and the beds being elevated on platforms with no bed skirts or throw pillows, and a easily washable bed covering - a great setup, and super hygienic. Furniture (two upholstered chairs) were in good condition and clean, great WiFi, and a friendly and helpful (owner?) at the front desk. What more could you ask for? Coming from the Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire, we paid four times as much for a lackluster, run-down and overall dirty room. Skaket Beach management and staff - EXCELLENT job with cleanliness and thoughtful attention to details. I would recommend this motel to anybody without hesitation. Five stars to this establishment - well done!
