The location was perfect. I was right ground the corner from the beach. I wanted to make sure I was walking distance to town and the cannon rock and I was. The to cottage was so cute. I traveled solo and felt safe. The room was clean and had everything you need. After a long walk on the beach I went to the cottage and curled up in bed . There was a mechanical fire place which added to the cozy cottage vibe

Super cute cozy room. Lived the bath spa

Check in was amazing. We arrived early and she told us our room wasn’t ready yet but she would call us. Less than five minutes and we were able to check in. The room was perfect for us. We walked to the beach and restaurant. Later we needed a quick trip to the store. We left in the car and came back to no parking. There was a different woman at the desk by then and she told us it was first come first serve and basically not her problem. She also said there was a spot at the parking lot she was at but there was not. We drove around for 30 minutes and finally asked an officer on the side of the road where we could park that we would be okay. Web site said there is parking for each paying guest. Not true so if you get a spot don’t leave until you’re checking out because they don’t care.

Bathtub, kitchen, bed was comfortable

We were lucky to be able to get into our room. They closed the desk at eight and even though we called twice before eight and sent a text message before eight nobody answered the phone nor responded to our text message. Thus we had no way of knowing which room was ours and how to get in. It was only because some other guests we talked to happen to be outside when we arrived and they had a code to get the lockbox open to get the envelope with the key to their room, and they shared this code with us. If we had not run into these people, we would not have been able to get into our room. No one was at the desk, the office was locked. Also, no map was included to tell us where our room was, which added to the confusion because there are two locations of the hotel and each room is like a tiny cabin, so we had to walk all over both locations to find our room.

I am deeply dissatisfied with my stay at the Inn at Haystack Rock @ Cannon Beach. Oregon. This was booked through Booking.com and I was told by the front desk, when checking out that I needed to connect with them to discuss my situation. I was given room 8 to stay in overnight. Next to me was room 9 which was an attached house that was two stories. A large family was in room 9 and was overwhelmingly loud and disruptive to my room for several hours. The staircase was located on the other side of our wall and children were running up and down the stairs all evening. I called the phone numbers to contact and report any issues going on and I had to call two different numbers and leave four different messages. I personally had to go to room 9 because I was not contacted back until two hours later by the management team. Room 9 understood and toned it down, however still noisy. When the manager called me back, she informed me she was going to have to call 911 and have a police officer come to room 9 to file a complaint. I was deeply upset over this as I did not want the police to be involved, I just wanted the party to stop and people to be quiet. I could not even hear my TV. It was so loud. The manager told me she had to file this complaint, as she had had problems in the past. I did not sleep all night, worried that the people in room 9 might come over to my room and or do some retaliation to my car. I was very upset all night and never slept one minute. Other issues: The fireplace had no instructions The TV had two remote controls with absolutely no instructions and kept disconnecting when there was a commercial. The Room had moths all over the curtains in both rooms. (kitchen and bedroom) And during our stay, room 9 was cooking in the evening and in the morning and the entire room smelled like Curry. When I returned home, my boyfriend informed me he had called before our arrival because he wanted to have wine and food delivered to our room. No one from Haystack ever returned his call. This complete disappointment of all that transpired deserves a YELP for future customers. I am requesting a full refund and would never recommend this place.
