Great location

We stayed here while we got married. The check in process was kind of a nightmare, we got stuck behind a massive group of hikers and there was only one person checking them in, then when another person arrived to help us check in (after the group of 10+ hikers was gone) he couldn’t get logged into his computer and the person behind us got checked in before we did. We ended up going back to the original line and finally checking in except it still took a long while - they kept going to the back office and having us wait at the desk, and the whole process took about 25 minutes. After a 7 hour drive, we were ready to collapse into a bed, not stand at a check in desk for half an hour, so that was a bummer. After check in, things were fine. The room was nice, the tv was very outdated which was odd, but things were clean and the bed was comfortable! We had major issues for the entire trip with key cards not working for the rooms, so the cards would have to be reset, which was a hassle, but again not the end of the world. Loved the bus that took you around town! Might pick a different hotel next time, but overall not a terrible stay.

The location is great. Our room was not. The tv is from the 70’s. No app options like Netflix. Our room smelled like urine, hair in the sheets. The water in the shower would get like warm and water would run under the shower curtain and get the floor wet. I would not stay again.

Everything was good. A little outdated but everything that you need was there. The common areas were excellent. The jacuzzi was good.The views are great. The garage is very narrow and leaking. We hit our car inside- too narrow.

We arrived right at the check-in time however, the check-in process was quick. I felt a bit hurried by the bellman, to get our car unloaded but, there was another vehicle trying to get into the unloading queue. We paid extra for a Valley View room, upon looking I found our view was of buildings, no Valley, and certainly not what was expected. I asked check-in about this, and learned that the Valley View meant the room was facing the direction of the town, it didn’t mean it had an actual Valley View. I’d suggest to a future traveler not to spend extra money on a non-existent view. Our last morning, while enjoying a little extra time sleeping in, we heard some tapping. We thought it was coming from a neighboring room however, someone gained access to our room, and thankfully quickly left. This person never identified themselves so, we have no idea if it was housekeeping or another person on staff, at least we’re hoping it was someone on staff who had a key to our room. Another suggestion to any future traveler, lock the deadbolt while occupying the room. Other than the disappointment of the non-Valley View room and the surprise of an uninvited mystery guest while in bed, we had a fair stay. It was nice to be away from the busyness and noise of downtown. We also struck up a conversation with the morning/early day time bellman who was friendly. I wish I had caught his name so to give a shout-out.

The location is great if you want to stay on the mountain. If you would rather be in the city of Crested Butte (5 minute drive) then this is not located within the old city area.

Parking is $30 per night, in case that affects your decision. We went on the second week of the shoulder season and not many patrons were there and the staff was limited. I don't think it was the fault of the hotel; just the season, but we went for the old city atmosphere (shopping and dining, etc.) and driving and hiking around the area. Crested Butte is an incredible example of an old mining town that just happened to end up near a ski resort! Of course, we did not ski. No snow in early September

We didnt have to get wet in the rain to park the car. This place was close to our family wedding and it is a quiet hotel.
