Nice place, needs updates but good enough.
The room was large, recently renovated and clean. The air conditioner was inadequate and the room smelled very closed up. Once we aired it out it was fine. The bed was very uncomfortable. But for an overnight stay in the mountains it was all we needed.
We chose this place because of its proximity to Williams College. We were in town for an Open House. It's really close - easy walking distance - very convenient. First the good: the bed was firm and really comfortable as were the pillows. The sheets were clean - smelling lightly of bleach. The AC worked well. Now the not-so-good: the place is definitely run down... the carpet is thin and stained, the paint job was unfinished, the bathroom light was only partially working and dim, and the shower water pressure was akin to a light spring rain. And we saw a spider but I think that can happen anywhere in this part of the country in August. All-in-all, I would stay there again because we both slept really well on comfortable clean beds and we're no-frills types anyway.
This is a budget motel and pretty good for the genre. Room was small but it was clean and reasonably quiet. Right across the street from Williams College dorms and chapel. Several restaurants are a short walk away. The guy running the desk, a high school senior on his way to college, was very friendly and personable.
Let me put it this way, even if the hotel was free, I wouldn't stay there
It is cheaper than anything else in the area so that should have been warning enough. I don't mind "basic" but i do expect cleanliness and no bugs in the bed!
Arrived late due to work commitment. Key did not work on first 5 tries. Parking was almost not possible. Interior of room was "Beverly Hillbilly" vibe. Smallest bath towels ever seen anywhere. Overall, the stay was a rip off.
Need to feel comfortable while working in the area. Great spot. I'll be back.
Room was very nice , we were pleasantly surprised :) and happy with it ..breakfast was small offerings but not worst I have seen .wifi was ok in one of our rooms , but not so good in the other...
